  Just a nice Hotel

  "I was disappointed that such a nice hotel had such thin walls and guests walking up and down the corridor were so loud from inside the room." (97571109)

  Breakfast was absolutely superb! Quite possibly the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel.

  The walls seemed paper thin and the room was very noisy hence not many people got a decent nights sleep as other guests were quite noisy.

  "It is a huge complex which appears to cater particularly for groups of women enjoying the spa facilities. The accomodation is basic but adequate. It is not for everyone." (97237005)

  The friendliness of some of the waiting staff in the main restaurant and the the motor-racing memorabilia in the bar/lounge

  The quality of the food in the main restaurant which was not good value for money. The dishes were pre-plated and kept warm for service which was extremely rapid. The dining room lacked any ambiance which was a function of its size and the number of covers which the hotel was trying to serve.

  "The staff are very helpful, the rooms very comfortable, the beds very comfortable, all the facilities are clean and well provisioned. I have stayed at this hotel and attended conferences there through work and would love to have a stay for pleasure to try out the spa. The food is fantastic - its a buffet breakfast with a huge selection." (97129521)

  very comfortable bed, great room, good nights sleep

  the wayfinding for the rooms is a bit wierd - rooms 100 and 300 are on the same floor, and rooms 200 and 400 on the next.

  "We arrived down for breakfast at 9.15. We hoped just for a cereal or a coffee because we were late. The very pleasant lady in charge of the dining room set a table in the bar for my son and I. She brought us a full breakfast.I have never experienced such a good service.Also she made very little of this,and personally brought out the food to us.When next in the area I will definately stay in this hotel" (97442176)

  spacious clean rooms, very pleasent staff. Would recomend a stay in this superb hotel.

  "The quality of the evening meal was average and overpriced, however the breakfast was very good. Also the Leisure Club facilities were very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and room was of good standard, with nice little extras such as the bath robes to use in the leisure club, tea and coffee facilities." (99556560)

  It was clean, sky TV was a bonus and the leisure facilities were good.

  It was very noisy at night which interrupted our sleep. The rooms require better sound insulation and guests should be asked to be quiet when going to their rooms late at night.

  We loved the accomodation. It was so clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. All the lights worked (unusual for us!) The ambience was fantastic. Would definately stay again.

  excellent, all the little extras(mobile phone chargers supplied)generous room size, ensuite bathroom excellent.

  "Location of hotel to Silverstone Race Track. Ease of access to the track from the hotel. Distance of hotel from the car park." (3304752261)

  Quiet location but adjacent to Silverstone. Excellent food and attentive staff.

  Path to Silverstone should be highlighted or at least let the desk staff know of the existance. Could do with a shop.Slow lifts.No trolleys to convey luggage to the car.

  "Due to two weddings on-site unable to book spa or hairdressing treatments. Only one person on duty in hairdresser's for the weekend. Staff called in sick for hairdressers and restaurant - it was bank holiday weekend and the staff were mostly inexperienced non-UK europeans. Very friendly and tried very hard but needed better guidance. Only assistant manager's left in restaurant - again non-UK -very helpful and tried hard but suffered due to lack of staff available to wait tables. Also on check-in the IT system went down due to decision to update system (apparently) - not the brightest thing to do at check-in time on a bank holiday weekend with two large wedding parties arriving together. Food was excellent - definitely four/ five star. Service suffered for lack of numbers - and obvious apathy by certain staff who let everyone down by calling in sick. If I book again - I would book spa treatments and hair salon appointment at time of booking to enable me to use facilities. Also, I would request a room with an outlook and either air-conditioning (if available) or a fan (as we did). Despite the negatives above, overall it was a lovely hotel in a lovely setting.We live abroad and would certainly consider using this hotel again - with the above proviso." (3305107493)

  Comfortably furnished. Excellent bathroom. Good size. Tea/ coffee facilities in room. Very clean - and good prompt housekeeping service.

  Lack of air-conditioning/ ventilation - had to request a fan. DVD's to rent but no DVD player. No view - opposite large noisy air-conditionning unit on roof. Obviously air-conditionning somewhere.

  "I would like to have been told that there was a concert on at the hotel. the noice in our bedroom at 11pm was so loud that we could not sleep and complained to the hotel reception. we also complained about the slow service in the resturant. the hotel did compensate us by not charging us for 1 bottle of wine."   The room was excellent in size.

  The service in the resturant was very slow.

  "Whittlebury Hall is superbly placed for Silverstone, which was the main attraction for us. The staff are very well-trained at all levels. Murrays Restaurant needs a re-think. None of the better wines was available, the food not cooked with care, the monkfish was on the turn and the somewhat vocal kitchen staff were highly audible from our table - not difficult, given that the place was empty, probably due to the above. This is okay in a diner, but not at these prices. The following night, our local restaurant booking and cab went awry, too. We weren't informed of the car's arrival and went looking to find he's been there twenty minutes and when we arrived at the restaurant the promised booking hadn't been made. Luckily they accommodated us when they could, but this was rather late making for an uncomfortable night. Sadly, the Spa was full on Saturday, but we will be back - due to proximity - and will book ahead, as we hear it's very good." (3305091879)

  Most of the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.

  The walls are very thin, the shower was a little weak, due to leakage. The food in the most expensive restaurant was somewhat below par.

  "Overall, this was an excellent hotel. The staff, the leisure faclilties,the location and the room were all of a very high standard. The only negative was the very noisy doors and, as our room was next to a general walkway, this made for not the most peaceful night's sleep." (3305125811)

  Lovely room, helpful staff and excellent swimming pool and leisure facilities.

  Room was next to a common door which closed rather noisly and as this was opened and closed throughout the night, this made for not the best night of sleep.

  "We liked the the whole package, the entrance to the hotel and reception area were very welcoming. Our room was spacious and clean and very well equiped. We visited the spa area with excellent facilities. We need to come back for more than a night's stay to appreciate the spa area and beauty side further! We ate in the Astons restaurant where the food and service was excellent as was the breakfast. For formula one fans we would recommend the Silverstone Bar which we found very interesting with the various photos and memorabilia. We will definetly visit again." (3304867976)

  We liked the accomodation due to it being clean, spacious and well equiped.

  We could not fault the accomodation.

  "The proximity to Silverstone is the main attraction here. We opened the small window, but didn't sleep well, due to aforementioned stuffiness and toilet noises from next room! The walls are really paper-thin. We couldn't check out, as the queue to do so was very long and we didn't have that kind of time. The phone lines were busy, too. We have booked a further stay with friends in a few weeks' time, due to said proximity to Silverstone and we really appreciated the well-used staff we came into contact with, who were excellent and very helpful. Hopefully our next stay will be more peaceable, with larger windows. We look forward to your reply and perhaps allocation of more suitable rooms." (3305096160)

  many things in the room did not work: Internet connection (it is unthinkable that here is no easy internet access nowaday) phone n.w.; heating went off when out of the room: you get back to a freezing room!!!!!!!!! .......
