  "Adequate, but I expected better as their description on your wesite claimed "wonderful facilities" and beautifully decorated bedrooms". This was certainly not my experience. It was no better than basic. I can't comment on the food because I did not eat in the hotel" (108355013)

  Good sized room, reasonable value for money

  drab decor, a bit outdated. Although it was mid September it became quite cold at night, but the central heating was obviously not turned on. I had to go to bed early to keep warm

  "OK for 1 or 2 nights, as basic 'no frills' accommodation " (107707846)

  A very friendly and helpful lady appeared to be managing the hotel. Property was easy to find (directly on the A428 with good connection to motorways and routes to Leamington/Stratford/Coventry. Very convenient for Rugby town centre facilities (5 mins walk to pubs, restaurants etc). Large area of enclosed car parking space at the rear of the hotel. Pleasant breakfast room, flower patio and outdoor areas for seating (in warm weather!)

  Exterior of hotel presented a rather shabby appearance and could use some basic redecoration to make it more attractive. Location is quite far (over 20 mins walk) from Rugby rail station. Breakfast time seems very limited (shown as 7.30-8.30 on weekdays), and the hotel seems to be catering for working guests rather than leisure travellers. Heating was not turned on (on a cool night in April). No lift is available, so not very suitable for guests with heavy luggage.

  Check in was hassle free I was expected.

  The building is generally in poor repair, a lot of clutter about. Very limited choice for breakfast which is only served between 07.30 and 08.30. Evening meal was a non starter as it was only served between 17.30 and 18.30. Furniture in room was old 1970's MFI style that had certainly seen better days. Poor selection of TV Channels Usual 5 plus Sky sports 1.

  Excellent location for our needs, friendly and helpful staff.

  Size of our bedroom was inadequate for our needs; also there was only one chair available. The room was badly in need of redecorating and there was a large damp patch on the ceiling.

  Friendy welcome,lovely food and a well presented breakfast with excellent content

  Only a slight niggle we felt the bedroom tea and coffee making facilities took away a personal touch,which we prefer, as would the supply of fresh milk,and less prepackaged items.

  The room was warm. The prorietor and staff were friendly

  General standard and quality of the furniture and facilities. The shower didn't work. Matress was worn out.

  The accommodation is in need of a refresh and modernisation - which the owners seem to be in the process of doing

  "It would have been good to know if there were lifts available, a choice of brakfast, and if we could take guests back. You could not sit in the lounge during the day as this was often locked, the brakfast was adequet but not enough, and the hotel was cold, I feel they need to upt their heating considerably. The staff were in general friendly. I have stayed in better hotels but then again I have stayed in worse." (99700398)

  Its nearness to the town centre

  Hotel was not very warm, breakfast was adequet but consisted on 1 sausage, 1 egg, 2 rashers of bacon small amount of beans (Not enough for growing children or adults) no lift in hotel carrying large cases up two flights of steep stairs was very tiring.

  "There was some mix up with the booking. The company through whom I booked it changed hands and I was told that the information wasn't brought over properly on the computer system. However, the owner/manager of the hotel was extremely helpful at sorting it out and was most apologetic. I think I would phone the hotel directly in future to make sure that everything was ok with my booking, because we could have got someone that was most unhelpful." (99391978)

  The owner was extremely friendly and hospitable.Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.It was withing walking distance to everything,i.e. shops, pubs, restaurants and our friends.The heating was on and lovely & cosy, which is a mega bonus in December.

  Other guests lack of consideration for their fellow travellers.Why one woman had to have her baby screaming in the hall outside our door and not in her own room at 8.30 am for over 10 minutes is beyond my comprehension. Another person, having their TV blasting at mega decibels, was also entirely inconsiderate.This however was not the fault of the Hotel itself directly.Would probably benefit from a sign asking people to be considerate to their fellow guests.Also,breakfasts are normally served up to 9.30 or 10 am. The breakfasts in this hotel were finished at 8.30 which meant we are not going to get up the same time as if we were working. Hence we missed the breakfast we had paid for in the price and had to go down the town to get breakfast.

  "The hotel was clean and tidy, and included breakfast in the price. The room maybe needed a coat of paint, but apart from that it was very comfortable. The rooms had tea/coffee making facilities and the hotel has a very large (safe) car park at the rear. The hotel offered smoking and non-smoking rooms to guests. It is very near to Rugby town centre, the local shops & amenities." (99929277)

  "When we booked it stated we had booked two rooms adjoining each other, one for us and one for our two young daughters but were given a large single room with four beds on arrival, when the kids got tired we all had to go to bed, not much fun at 7pm! At breakfast there was no high chair for our one year old daughter even though we were in a family room, the portions at breakfast were small and the orange juice old and settled in the glass, we were staying for three nights but there was still no high chair on following mornings. The people running the hotel were very friendly and helpful but we feel the price didn't reflect the quality of stay." (3305128209)
