  No hot water in the room. Walls were very thin so could hear other guests. There was a large party of workmen who were very noisy and the hotel seemed to cater for them and not for any other else. Food was poor.

  Excellent location - easy to find and well placed for next day. Room a good size and well kitted out. Breakfast good too.

  Walls pretty thin! No other problems.

  I feel that the decor and furniture in the room were very basic, to say the least. It seems that they have spent the least money they could to furnish the rooms. With a little imagination and a bit more money they could have made the rooms quite comfortable. The friends we went with had a room that the bathroom flooded frequently and there were damp towels on the floor underneath the pipes and whenever the shower was used the bathroom flooded. The interior of the pub was very poor with very old carpet and the wooden bar front was very old and in bad repair and there was wallpaper peeling off the wall. There was also a large dog in the bar, which made the bar smell very 'doggy'. I don't think the people behind the bar, who served us, smiled at us once. The only good point about it was that the breakfast they served was quite acceptable and it was only 10 mins away from Goodwood racecourse, which was the reason we were staying in the area.

  "Ideal location for our needs (visit the Roman Palace). On our first night we were not able to eat in house, as planned, because there was a weddding party taking place and we were not informed of this prior to our arrival." (107776452)

  Breakfast was good but the service was poor, we waited quite a long time to be served due to lack of staff.

  Room not valeted and no effort was made to rectify this. The excuse was that the maid bent the key in the lock and we had the only other key. No note was left for us to explain this.

  Convenient to Chichester, offered full English breakfast and relatively inexpensive.

  No attempt once booked in to ensure your stay was pleasant/enjoyable. Could not get onto car park when returned in the evening as it was full of haphazardly parked cars attenting pub. Not warned of this and would not have been able to use car if kept it on car park- blocked in.

  Room was dark, did not smell pleasant and was dingy and no mirrors with one small window--we actually paid again to stay elsewhereas the room was depressing.

  Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast offered. Plenty of parking space.

  When booked months earlier, requested twin room with bathtub, but had to settle for a twin room with shower instead as bathtub rooms occupied. Toilet seat was broken, which we reported so that it could be fixed for next guests.

  Water hot, room warm, bed comfortable. Servicing good.

  Breakfast: little choice of cereal, or (first day) conserves. Room decoration plain. somewhat bare and not very welcoming. Bathroom lacked shelving and mirror far too low for comfortable shaving

  "We were disappointed in the overall stay. We felt that it could be better, as the quality of the food was good." (107731284)

  The food was beautiful. It was well prepared.

  There was a sign up in the bathroom that said if you wanted your towels replaced put them in the shower base, we did and the same towels were hung on the towel rack. No new one's were given to us. We knew this because the towels were soaking from mopping up the water on the bathroom floor. The shower curtain fell down in the middle of the shower. The bathroom smelt really bad and we were worried the linen wasn't clean. The breakfast is served late on the weekends 9-10am, someone changed the time to an earlier one on the sunday but didn't bother telling the staff about it. So all the guests showed up for an early breakfast and the staff weren't there. The staff members that did show up were very nice to start breakfast half an hour early for us.

  Room warm and clean. Security good. Good choice of breakfast. Convenient for South Coast resorts.

  Apart from breakfast, which on day one was just hot enough to be edible, there was no hot food available. Light in bathroom not working. Bar staff didn't wash hands after cigarette break!. Board advertised the place accepted Euros but when a guest asked could they pay in Euros they where told they had none. Tv aerial broken.

  "Cheap accommodation which is adequate for a short overnight stay. It was clean and tidy, with good routes in and out of Chichester (as it's situated just off the A27). Parking required a little bit of juggling during busier times at the Woolpack Inn, but overall a pleasurable experiance. I stayed there with my Son for 1 night on 30 Nov 08 as he was attending an Apprenticeship Open day at Chichester College (Just 10 Minutes Walk)" (107417559)

  Quick and easy booking system. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

  No bad points to name, it's a no frills accommodation, so you get what you pay for. Only point i would mention is that the morning breakfast should be cook to order, instead of hotplated. Thus ensuring a fresh, cost effective meal with little wastage. When we came for breakfast the Beans, Tomatoes had dried up to death and the 4 fried eggs were old & scabby. However, enlight of this the chef was all to happy to cook us some fresh eggs and toast:-)

  Overall good value for money clean and tidy with a smsll staff

  There was some confusion as to the booking at check in and when queried was informed that this was the agent as the booking had not been made direct (although I had tried anumber of times to speak with om the telephone and internet

  Straightforward accomodation and good check in times.

  Breakfast is only between 9 and 10am (at least on Sunday morning). The walls seem to be quite thin between the rooms. I was also woken up by cars starting just outside my window early in the morning.

  The room was spacious, clean and adequate. The bathroom was well equipped too.

  Walls were thin. Next door occupants kept us awake into the small hours on the first evening. Someone obviously complained and it was o.k. on the second night. Pub rather tacky and not quite how it looked on the internet.

  The rooms were spacious and very clean. the breakfast was adequate and the staff were very friendly.

  Just one quibble - entry to the accomodation block was by keypad. An excellent idea in itself BUT! in the hours of darkness the overhead light tended to shine on the metal keys in such a way that they could not be read. Not a happy situation when it was pouring with rain!
