  "Das Bild im Internet verspricht eine ganz andere Art Hotel. Deshalb sollte das Bild gewechselt werden. Trotzdem würden wir wieder in diesem Haus absteigen." (2063253)

  "I needed somewhere to stay as close to Dane End as possible as I had a business appointment on Sunday. Mulberry Lodge was not only a great location, but value for money too. As a family with a 14mth old baby, we couldn't have asked for more. Service with a smile at all times. Warm and friendly atmosphere on arrival. Glad we stayed 2 nights, wish it could have been more."   "Stay was spoiled because we were on the second floor and the lift was not working. My husband has breathing problems and struggled every time we had to go up the stairs." (108632668)

  Helpful and efficient staff nice grounds

  lift not working tea/coffee making supplies in room poor - especially UHT milk instead of creamer bed sagged in middle

  Nice area and very quiet. Felt secure and safe due to gated access and pin entry. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms very good and comfortable.

  Quiet location, good parking

  No internet in the backward rooms, not enough space at breakfast tables, rooms too small, very few tv progs, no radio progs, only one chair in double room, no fridge in the room (as there is no restaurant attached one wants a few things cooled)

  Good value accomodation

  Another guest left their bathroom light on all night and it was difficult to sleep with the noise of the extractor fan. A note on the doors might help.

  Lovely rural setting and friendly staff

  Twin room felt a bit 'cramped', no lounging space and just one small window - especially stuffy on an exceptionally hot & humid day - seemed a bit pricey for what it was

  "For a bed and breakfast, this place ranks among the top. It is in a very nice location and the rooms and overall feel of the place is very modern barn conversion'esque. Very nice. I only had very small, minor issues with which hopefully when highlighted would be looked into. " (97710968)

  Loverly surrounding and quiet. Nice views of the surrounding countryside from window. Friendly accomodating staff.

  Dining area was not massively clean with crumbs /sugar / etc from whenever on tables and chairs. And was served mouldy slice of bread. (Not deliberate I know, but none the less).

  The room and facilities was good.

  The reception and dining area was not so good. The reception area was a little scruffy, there was a dog laying in the entrance way and a person cleaning a car at the front door on the patio area. It was like walking into someones house! Not what I expected!

  This is not a 4 star hotel or indeed an hotel . Its just a converted barn with a few tables acting as the dinning area / reception Televison was poor in the room - tiny model with lots of interference. No offical dinner - they bring in Italian take aways ?

  "Satisfied with the service, quiet and warm. I always try to avoid small family run hotel. This experience changed that. Instead of picking hotel in Hatfield we made a mistake but I am glad as it was a good mistake. Thanks for a unique excellent and 5 star service it will be nice to know distance to places on interest like Unversity of Hertford etc" (97429874)

  "Hotel is really a B&B and is in the middle of knowhere. Cost of taxis from station to accomodation was high. Taxi driver booked through reception charged us to his journey to the hotel in addition to the journey from the hotel to the conference venue. Whilst accomodation was of a high standard it did not represent good value for money as the " (99347684)

  lovely setting. security. breakfast was very good choices. staff very friendly.

  although room looked clean it could have been better, cobwebs were evident and a spillage on bedside cabinet/wall needed seeing to (from a previous occupant). slamming of doors annoying, maybe adjustment of bracket would sort this.
