The location was very good. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. There was a very good supply of extremely hot water.
I asked for a non smoking room. When we entered our room we could smell cigarette smoke. I discovered that the balcony had been used by smokers and there was cigarette butts lying all over the it and an ashtray had been left lying there.

Catalonia A. Gaudí, Madrid Gästebewertungen"For a 4 star hotel we were very disappointed. The hotel entrance is uninspiring and the decor in the room was very dreary. The pillows were on the hard side. There was also no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and the reception for CNN was poor. On the positive side the staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel was quite central." (97627327)
It was reasonably central.
The decor of the room including duvet was terrible and the room was internal so no decent views. There was no tea-making facilities.
