The room appeared to have been recently refurbished and was in good order. Although I didn't use the shower it all looked to be in good working order. As I was leaving for the Royal Welsh show early in the morning (7.30), I was provided with a picnic lunch as breakfast didn't start until 8am. I was pleasantly surprised by this.
I stayed in a twin room and found the mattress on the bed very uncomfortable and hard. The pilows duvet etc were fine, it's just that I feel they cut costs by buying something of a poor quality. So much so that it exacerbated my neck and back problems. Also please be aware that if you stay here that you can clearly hear other people entering and leaving their rooms, it saves the worry of thinking someone has got into your room!

Very good breakfast and very attentive staff for this one meal that we had at the hotel.
Room was in annexe to hotel accessed by outside staircase.

Excellent home-cooked food, extremely good value and in huge portions! Good relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, a very happy stay in a lovely area. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommended. Letting rooms in back area of building and unaffected by any noise from the bar area. Slighly off the beaten track in a small village which suited us!
Room on the small side, but clean and tidy with all necessary amenities.

Castle Inn, Knighton commentarios"I cant really praise the actual rooms highly enough. Sometimes you stay in a hotel and feel that other people have slept in the rooms, this was not at all the case with the Castle Inn their cleanliness was first class." (97909529)
The cleanliness of the hotel rooms were fantastic. The beds were very comfortable and the bedlinen was superb. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and attentive to all requests. Overall I would recommend it for anyone who wants an overnight stay.
there was only one bad point and that was some dog excrement in the hall from the rooms to the dinning room, which unfortunately I trod in. However the staff made sure my shoes were cleaned. It was an unfortunate incident for which I believe a one off, and the staff were very appologetic.

"Entirely suited to our purpose. (Overnight stay on a Saturday prior to attending a long distance cycling event based at Knighton.) " (108837791)
Lively pub, good atmosphere, excellent quality beers on tap. Very wholesome homecooked food in very generous portions....restaurant very popular with locals as a result.(good indicator of quality & value). Staff got up early on Sunday morning to provide early breakfast. Staff all very obliging.
Check in was a bit chaotic as pub was crowded and there is no separate reception facility..not a big problem however. Bathroom door would not close properly or latch.
