  "Good hotel in great location - really enjoyed my stay and would book again if I need accommodation in the area. Staff work really hard and are helpful and friendly. For the money I paid, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and couldn't have expected more." (108918893)

  Good quiet location close to main walkway into town. Excellent value for money. Clean decent size single room. Great breakfast.

  "A disapointment." (108160268)

  The hotel was well located for the center of town.

  The Saturday night entertainment in the bar was extremely loud in my room. I wanted to sleep. A light in my room wouldn't turn off in the middle of the night and I had to sleep with it on. At five o'clock I was undressed to take a shower when a cleaning girl barged in without knocking to do my room (which was as yet unmade up). The room was extremely hot, even with the window open.

  "Overall - We did enjoy our stay despite the bad points raised. The Scarborough area is a lovely part of the UK and the hotel is situated very close to the South Bay so is only a short pleasant walk to the main town." (108980563)

  Staff were very friendly and helpful. We got an excellent rate (£28 Per Night) which was good value for money. Generally hotel and room was clean. Entertainment was very good.

  The hotel gave priority for coach tour residents, there were no dishes and supplys at breakfast time. The evening meal we had in the hotel was cold and the food was not as listed. The room we reserved was supposed to be newly refurbished, but it was very old decor with large stains and rips in the bathroom curtains, bathroom door would not shut, in the hallways the paper was peeling of the walls, very dated.

  friendly atmosphere especially at the dining room area

  my daughter didn't like the bath shower mixer taps found it uneasy to use

  "A good hotel who seem to be maintaining high standards dispite the low numbers of guests." (108440826)

  The room was clean and tidy and the breakfast was good value for money and served well. The reception staff were also very helpful.

  There was a fire evacuation at 1am, this was managed well by the night porter, however I cam concerned that when I got to the main door it was locked and we had to wait for the porter to unlock it. There was also no hot water in the sink in our room in the morning.

  chef wouldnt take food orders after 5pm rooms very out of date breakfasts start far to late in the morning for business guests
