"Friendly impression at check-in. Rooms clean but leaning towards the smaller side. Advertised minibar was empty and switched off, no amends offered on request. Shower/toilet room was small and not well enough lit to shave/make up well. Good view on river Ems with some noise from the weir, but adequate soundproofing window. Small selection at breakfast buffet (eggs, cheese, bread, but no fried beens/vegetables/mushrooms, no fish, no Bircher muesli)." (97222062)

The minibar was deliberately empty and switched off. Staff refused to fill it or even to switch it on because of "bad experience with some guests abusing it".
