The Welbeck Hotel, Nottingham commentarios"Enjoyed it as i went to visit my daughter on my own this time as my girlfriend couldn't make it. Probably wouldn't stay for breakfast next time though although it was nice." (108794414)
Staff were excellent and the room was perfect. Close to the City centre and right by the Rock City concert venue.
Breakfast was a little over priced at £10.50 and the parking too came to £11 which bumped the price up a bit.

The Welbeck Hotel, Nottingham commentarios"The hotels good points outway the bad, the food choice for a fitness weekend was good ( porridge with water, steak with no sauce etc ) adjacent to parking with a suitable drop off point, and I have used this facility several times and would do so again." The desk staff were warm and friendly, the dining staff very prompt and attentive, the location was very suitable for our requirements and the hotel felt very "safe and secure"
Towels were not changed but put back on rack wet, three days in a hotel without toel change or facility to dry same is not acceptable. Large dust deposits around air-con and extractor in bathroom, pillows very flat and no extras provided and duvet did not reach bottom of pillows which meant sleeping felt a little cold.

Great location
Got put in a smoking room even though we are non smokers and wasnt given the choice. We were right next door to the lift meaning we could constantly hear the motor running.

Friendly and helpful Reception and other Staff
Sink plug leaver Missing therefor difficult to keep water in bowl! Sunday Breakfast had to clear own table twice and get own coffe Bill contained an extra Breakfast for Sunday morning which was rectified when pointed out

The hotel is extremely conveniently situated for a visit to Rock City and very close to Nottingham City centre. The ice machines are a very nice bonus. The beds are very large and really comfortable.
The booklets in the room were aparently wrong about the times rooms service was available during a Sunday day time and it took serveral phone calls before it was established that we'd have to wait two hours for it.

Ice machine on our floor wasn't working, but the one on the next floor was. This is the only bad point I can com up with.

Efficient, well-run business hotel. Front desk responded well to a request to change booking dates. Staff generally were helpful and the location is excellent. Parking next door at discounted overnight rates is a definite plus.

Clean tidy hotel, very convenient for the city centre, especially the Royal Theatre.
There were several "Stag Parties" staying in the hotel and air was blue with foul language at breakfast! this may have only been our luck to choose a bad night to stay, but I was surprised that the staff didn't ask them to moderate their language.

The Welbeck Hotel, Nottingham commentarios"When i arrived on Fri evening with my 14 yo son, to attend the National Schools Rowing Regatta,my stomach jumped when I saw all the various male groups around the hotel. It was obvious why they were in town! However, perhaps you have a seperate floor for your male only groups because we had two good nights sleep and I am grateful for that. Thankyou." (107583929)

Pleasent staff beautiful entrance stunning room
on arriving, was asked for bank card used when making reservation in order to prove identity.Experienced slight embarrassment when card was declined as id taken all money from account for use on night out. I was not made aware that the hotel would be charging £25 insurance for my stay until staff informed me when my card was declined, so had to pay in cash which then left me short for my stay. Had i been made aware, I could have been spared the embarrassment of explaining my finacial situation.

Parking overnight in the parking garage opposite the hotel remains expensive, despite a discount from the hotel.

Convenient location, big bed, good facilities in room, generous with the tea/coffee making tray. Everything we required in the room.
Hotel noisy at night mainy from other inconsiderate male guests. Hotel room overlooked student halls! All had their windows open playing loud music. Also had to endure the pounding music from the night club on Talbot Street, until the early hours. Didn't get to sleep until 4.00am!!!! A complete waste of time.

We booked online & requested valet parking & B&B. On arrival the reception staff did'nt know what valet parking was and we had to use the disabled space as our car was too high for the adjacent multi-story carpark. Also no breakfast had been booked even though we had specifically asked for a vegetarian one. Breakfast was added but not charged, however it was too late for the chef to buy in veggie sausages!!! On entering the room there was a random towel on the floor and a stick of deoderant. The toilet leaked, toilet roll was missing and there was no soap. Would never stay in this hotel again even if it were free! Also the reception staff, although friendly, their use of bad language in front of guests was unacceptable. Also waited 25 mins for a taxi that had been pre-booked.

Hotel good position,clean and tidy
As this was our anniversary my husband requested champagne and flowers in the room. They couldn't arrange flowers said he would need to do this himself with interflora - said they would supply champagne but never did - so dissapointing as far as customer relations were concerned.

The Welbeck Hotel, Nottingham commentarios"The room was comfortable and adequate. The reception welcome and help was outstanding. The breakfast service, value and quality lets the hotel down. If we stay again we will avoid taking breakfast." (97598285)
The young man on reception was exceptionally helpful and certainly went the extra mile to help us. Comfortable bed and clean room.
The breakfast was poor and not good value for money. The cooked food was stale and dry and the table service was inattentive. We expected better and were very disappointed.
