Generally most of the stay was without cause for complaint.
I ordered a Rump Steak for my evening meal, but it had a thick vein going through it, which mean't I had to leave some of it.

Great hotel for location, price and value for money. It is having a refurb shortly, and will be much better, providing the price stays the same.

Hotel doubled charged (on booking and departure). This is now the subject of a formal complaint.

Great breakfast!
Room was modern but tiny, but the main hotel was in very poor condition, with tatty carpets with holes in them. The contrast between the bedroom and the decor of the rest of the hotel was huge.

(Maybe I just got the last room that hasn't had a makeover since the late 80's?)Redecoration and general refurbishment is badly needed and would make a world of difference to this hotel. If I had paid full tariff price I would have been VERY unhappy!" (108421063)
Booking process good. Price discounted from standard tariff. Hotel Reception Area seemed modern. Clean linens! Breakfast was fine (but you dine in the pub restaurant across the street).
Rest of common areas dated with worn carpets & grubby decoration. Room decorations & furniture dated & shabby - bathroom too. Shower VERY difficult to control with scalding hot water! On check out, member of staff on duty unsure how to process payment or create receipts (Receptionist wasn't going to issue a receipt - I had to asked for one). Still waiting to check with my bank whether payment was taken twice.

check in was no problem, the staff helpful and friendly. Our room was pleasant with excellent equipment. We did cross the road for the restauranat, but it was a good choice, it was excellent; friendly, good service, food enjoyable. We had an excellent 3 course meal and bottle of wine. It was our wedding anniversary, and the hotel experience rounded off a good day.After our meal we walked around Woburn, there are several other restaurants, but if we had walked first, I think we would have returned to the Bell for our meal as it was the best value.
did not know that my mobile would not pick up signals, but as the text was not urgent it did not cause a problem.

Excellant location for Milton Keynes. Hot Water, Very good breakfast. Pleasant staff.
If we wish to take our parents the stairs would be a problem. Some traffic noise from front rooms.

Breakfast on last day was awful for which I have made a complaint more like a burnt offering than a meal.

Food service was nice, fast and tasty. Staff is friendly and polite.
Most of the times we wanted something from the front desk, at check in and check out. There was NO ONE at the counter and it took over 15min for someone to show up.

We considered it good value for money." (108089264)
Central location at Woburn. Made to feel welcome by friendly staff. Large free car park. Good practical hairdrier and kettle in bedroom. Nicely refurbished bathroom. Good and varied breakfasr menu. Excellent value for money.
The accommodation is split between the pub and the hotel which are on either side if a busy road.Food is served in the pub above which our room was located therefore a restful early night is not possible which fortunately did not worry us but noise from the pub and the outside patio could be a problem. Our room looked over the patio and the kitchen windows and did not have a blind or a net and so the curtains had to be kept closed which was not ideal as the lighting in the room was not very bright.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the standard of housekeeping was very high.
The only bad point was the first room we were allocated had a very unpleasant smell but the staff were very helpful and apologetic and relocated us immediately.

Good value for money. Clean room with everything we needed. Excellent breakfast.
Room was slightly small, but we were offered a larger room when we checked in, but declined as it was next to the road and said to be noisier.
