Staff were very friendly and polite. Breakfast was excellent. Very clean.
Rooms were a little worn.

Breakfast was very good and the free parking was a bonus
Room was very dusty particularly around the bedside cabinets and cobwebs on the ceiling

The receptionist "Melba" was very kind also the room was clean and tidy and everything important were there
There was a bad point just with shower . There wasn't a door or something that stop water to go out . Also all the lights were weak

Friendly welcome. Good, freshly-cooked breakfast. Quiet location, great access to city centre.
Mould in shower. Dining room not very clean.

Beautiful hotel, decorative room, good facilities, nice breakfast.
Staff were a little intrusive and at times made racist comments.

Bowl of cornflakes and flask of milk provided on a tray to take to my room for Sat and Sun so that I could have some breakfast before leaving at 8.40am for a course that began at 9.30am
Sat and Sun breakfast was only served between 9.00-10.00 Tea and milk was not replenished one day

Spindle Lodge, Leicester commentarios"The lady of the house was very polite and informative re places of interest to visit. She made you feel welcome and an individual and was keen to help. The hotel is a lovely old Victorian building but I felt needs some updating and make over. I found the position very handy to walk into the town centre via the pedestrianised new walk. This walk takes in some lovely old buildings and was a very nice relaxing scenic walk. The area felt safe and was very convienient for parking my car at the front of the hotel. Furthermore was only 5 minutes walk to Victoria park. Overall I found my stay to be reasonable for the price I paid but not shure if I would stay there again?" (97089170)
The bed was very firm and comfortable. Breakfast was good with good choice. Full English cooked well and service quick.The shower was a nice powershower with plenty of hot water and soap and shower gel provided which was a nice touch.
The weather was very warm during my 3 day. Because of this I found my room and hotel warm and stuffy. There was a TV in the room but no remote controll.My room was at the top of the building via steep stairs making it quite an effort with luggage.

Spindle Lodge, Leicester commentarios"Bedrooms were cold during the evening. Not enough blankets on the bed during the middle of winter. Checked wardrobe and spare pillows but no other blankets. Had to wear clothes & overcoat in order to keep warm. Hotel very old fashioned - could do with redecorating/refurbishment. Thought that the price of the hotel was expensive for what you got. Breakfast and checking out time too early." (97656782)

Spindle Lodge, Leicester commentarios"I liked the slightly Arts and Crafts feel to the building - the fireplace in our bedroom had a lovely brass canopy and some of the bedroom doors had attractive glass panels.I also liked the pencil drawings on the landing.As mentioned above I would have taken down some of the straw hats and late 20th century nick nacks,but it was lovely to stay in a hotel that had retained features rather than removed them." It was comfortable,clean and warm.The breakfast was well presented and nicely cooked.It was a quiet location.
Perhaps I would have removed some of the little nick nacks on the walls.My daughter and I would have liked a radio rather than a TV in the room.
