Would recommend this hotel to my friends if they were goint to the theatre as I think the off of taking and collecting from the theatre is a brilliant idea." (107102836)

busy morning meant we waited over forty minutes after ordering a cooked breakfast which was too long. TV in room was very small.The bath side panel was broken and bath slightly stained

The hotel was on the main road, but it was very quiet, even with window open overnight. Also good parking.

nice and quiet and relaxing cosy!great surprise to wake up to snow!!
bed was very cold at first, and had to put small pillows at the window to keep draft out.bit of a mix up with breakfast did not get all i requested.

Efficiency and good standard of food in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast. The bedroom was clean and comfortable as was rest of hotel. Staff were friendly at all times. Restaurant staff very, very good

Easy access for handicapped wife. Able to accommodate dog. Well located, easy to find. Excellent breakfast.
Thought I had asked on-line or by phone for disabled access but was told at reception this was not the case. At first was offered a room upstairs in the lodge. This was quite out of the question - was eventually accommodated in the downstairs room adjacent to the dining room - much better, thank you! (However, room felt very cramped, somewhat claustrophobic). Was also refused an evening meal at the outset - too many B and B guests had requested dinner! Eventually was accommodated - but felt very uncomfortable about this. Not a good reception after a hard day's driving!

Friendly welcome. Clear explanation regarding the outlay of the hotel. Assistance with luggage.
Answer is a typical woman's view!!! So many different carpets throughout the hotel but it looked as if refurbishment was under way and the public rooms were tastefully decorated. etc. The mattress was too soft for me as I prefer firm and if I could be guaranteed a harder one would have no hesitation in returning.

evrything was old , tired and grubby and could hardly be called an en-suite. all members of staff were foreign and very sullen and unfriendly. so much for scottish hospitality !!!

It was not apparant when booking that the evening dinner menu would be restricted to a choice of 3 (not very inspiring),items per course. There was no price quoted for the meal, which I felt was not value for money. We chose to eat out for our second night which we would not have done if we had been happy with the meal on the first night.This was the only critism as all other areas were very good." (97355581)

Car park at rear and had space.
Squeaking / loose floorboards, bed squeaked when moving position, remote & television were poor, shower was difficult to set to temp and pressure was poor, no toilet roll provided on second night, towels were not changed, re-hung in bathroom and mattress was old spring type with some springs coming through to cause discomfort.

The musty smell in the room was offputting - I think they may have recently cleaned the carpets in the room but had not aired properly & this has resulted in the musty smell." (3305225453)
The staff were excellent & location ideal.
Our room smelled musty and I almost scalded myself on the tap operated shower in the morning (there seemed to be some problem with it keeping the same temp). I did not complete the questionnaire at the hotel.

Acarsaid Hotel, Pitlochry commentarios"My main criticism was the bathroom, it was very poor, with a rubber hose attachment to the taps for use as a shower. The washbasin in the bedroom was not particularly pleasant-although clean. The sheets were extremely good and clean. The staff very courteous. The Breakfast was excellent but the dinner the night before was just ok. It is a basic hotel with a high degree of cleanliness and excellent staff. We booked last minute and felt the price was fairly high for the accommodation, but were just glad to find a hotel for a saturday night in the middle of the season." (3305132084)

Hotel is close to the town centre and has a very warm feeling. The room was quite big and recently decorated.

This not only made it impersonal, but precluded our responding to their request that we make a nomination for employee of the month - not that there were any outstanding differences between staff to cause us to pick one out from the rest. Some of the staff had only moderate English knowledge, and so conversation beyond routine matters, such as choice from menu, was not possible. Despite the little niggles, it was reasonable hotel value for money. We normally use B&B guest houses rather than hotels. No doubt we'll keep to that in future." (3305075720)

Friendly staff clean room and comfy bed.
Felt the room a bit small and claustrophobic, also at the back of hotel with no view. The cooked breakfast could have been hotter this put us off having dinner at the hotel.

Although the booking had not been transmitted to the hotel, they honoured a special offer, and staff were very friendly and competant. We arrived with 2 dogs, and they were more than happy for them to sit in the reception area and sleep in our room. The hotel itself is an old Victorian building, which has been tastefully decorated, giving a feeling of stylish relaxation. The food was excellent, well presented with a reasonable choice and nice touches such as locally made preserves for breakfast. Our only real criticism was the cooked breakfast - although we could have had the 'full works' we were not up to it after the meal the night before, and instead ordered poached egg - literally one on dry toast!"
