Bedroom and bathroom extremely clean
Fire doors chocked open. Evening (Thai) meal in restaurant very disappointing. Starter served differed from what was on menu (eg no chilli). Wife's main course extremely greasy. Response of staff to complaints rather poor in my view.

Superb accomodation with exceptional value for money when compared to other hotels visited this year.
Although we never ate in the hotels restaurant the meal prices did seem rather expensive by comparison to similar hotels.

Very friendly staff and helpful. We also ate in the restaurant as the weather was to bad to go out. We found that the standard of the food and efficiency of the staff first rate.

Excellent breakfast - Helpful staff (safe storage of bikes no problems) - Best place to eat in Bodmin (?only good place to eat in Bodmin) - Decent value compared with prices in Padstow - Very convenient position on Camel Trail bike route
Minor grumbles: bar not cheap, but neither was tacky pub next door; and owner didn't come across as the most cheerful man in Bodmin!

Very Friendly staff throughout my stay, very nice room
Shower lacked a little "oomph" & no mention of the points I made on the booking notes (vegetarian food * non dairy milk) where made altho there were vegetarian meal options available

The hotel was excellently situated in the town and was only a short distance from the rail station (as we travelled by train to get there). Upon check-in and throughout our entire stay the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was impeccably clean, well furnished and had a great view! The facilities at the hotel were excellent and plentiful. Both the food and the restaurant/dining area were great. Lovely well-maintained gardens to enjoy some outdoor relaxation, which I found were perfect to enjoy a cigarette within.

Very spacious room, thoroughly cleaned every day. Biggest bathroom I've ever seen! Excellent choice for breakfast, of good quality. Good restaurant on site with local fish served, not too expensive. Good value for money.
Somewhat informal attitude of some staff members (although it adds to its charm).

Westberry Hotel, Bodmin commentarios"Having booked at the last minute for a one night stay we were very pleased by the greetings and friendliness of the staff. The Hotel was bright and airy in appearance and conveniently positioned for the areas of the town which we planned to visit. The facilities of the hotel were good but unfortunately we had not allowed time in our program to try the Restaurant for an evening meal. The parking area access and egress were a little challenging for a 'people carrier' but there was ample room both in terms of the number of spaces and the size of them. Decoration was a bit tired. I would have preferred breakfast to start at 7 rather than 7.30.

The room was bright, airy, not stuffy and very spacious. Useful and attractive furniture and a very comfortablebed. The bathroom was a nice size and very clean. The hotel was not noisy, nor was the town centre location and the staff were all very polite and hospitable.
Equipment in the bathroom was not functioning. The heated towel rail was not working so the towels were still a little damp the following morning. The extractor fan didn't work. Worst of all was the colour of the hot water. We drained off three bath fulls of discoloured water before giving up. Cold water was fine. We were later informed that work on the water main had led to contamination of the hot water supply. Whilst alledgedly not hazardous, it would have been courteous to inform guests of the problem at check-in.

car park at rear of hotel was a little loud as staff leave at night with cars pulling out of the car park.
