Hotel New Damshire, Leuven commentarios"The hotel is less than 5 mins walk to the main square in the town with all it's bars and restaurants. The car parking on the streets around the hotel is not plentiful but the hotel has a small undercover car park for guests use. The staff can't do enough to help, providing excellent friendly service, maps and local information. Breakfast was great and very varied, hotel bar is a relaxed and comfortable place to have a quiet drink." (99087971)
Perfect location to see the town of Lueven, also ideally suited for easy walk to all the bars and restaurants.
The bedrooms at the front of the hotel you could hear a little noise late Friday night Saturday morning but not enough to cause great concern.

"We went for the Rogier van der Weyden exhibition at the M Museum. Due to location near the old town for tourist purposes it served us OK, but would probably not stay there again." (108415558)
Very clean, good location.
We specially requested a quiet room and were put at the back with a fire escape outside our one window. It turned out to be very noisy due to people coming & going at odd times of the night, banging doors, walking up & down stairs and the fire escape which was directly outside our window and talking loudly (at 4am) both nights of our stay. Breakfast rather sparse and consisted mainly of items in packets. Also there is a building site right next door (abutting our bedroom)and the builders started hammering at 7am on Monday morning and kindly left the drilling until 9am. Our safe did not work and although we mentioned it to reception, nothing was done to investigate the problem.
