The staff were friendly and breakfast was adequate.
The bathroom was too tiny for normal usage. Everything appeared old and flogged out in the room. The whole room including bathroom could do with an entire revamp.

Ideal location for our trip to London.
No smoke detectors in the rooms and we were on the 3rd and 4th floors. No milk for the tea making in the room. No orange juice with the breakfast(run out).No variation with the breakfast, i.e couldn't get a boiled egg.Bathroom, water stains on ceiling could do with spruce up.

no cold water in tap in ensuite overnight very poor breakfast, sausages terrible, no offer of cereal and had to ask for toast.

Good value for money. Very handy for the station and attractions of London. Helpful, friendly staff. Could leave your luggage safely until later on the day of departure.
Front rooms overlook a busy road so are very noisy. The window needed to be open as the top of the house was very warm. Lots of stairs, unfortunatley no lift.

Location for Paddington train station was excellent
The room was shabby and stank of cigarette smoke. The bedding and curtains were worn and tatty, although the sheets were lovely and fresh. There were panels of wood missing from above the window frame and the wall paper was peeling and flaking. The shower was absolutely tiny and nearly impossible to get into also the dial used to turn on the shower was really hard to turn. The hotel was also very noisy.

Pleasant staff, friendly service. Good location very close to Paddington and Hyde Park where our daughter was participating in London Parks Half Marathon.
Shower fittings were poor, shower rose would not stay easily in holder. We were up on two top floors, made carrying heavy suitcases hard work - would be good to have small lift installed.

Plenty of hot water. Quiet enough given situation in a busy area. Clean. Very convenient for Paddington. Breakfast area pleasant and continental breakfast very adequate. Staff pleasant.
Some fittings needed repair and lightbulbs needed replaced. A lot of narrow stairs if one has heavy luggage but not much you can do about that probably.

Pleasant and helpful staff. Close to Paddington Station - easy for travel.
Continental breakfast included with Active stays very poor. Only cereal and toast. Carpet throughout was loud, floral and needed a good clean or better still replacement. Bathroom small.

When booking ask for a room on one of the lower floors or you will have to trudge up 72 steps (5 flights). The single room was very small, as was the bathroom, but very clean. It's fine if you just want somewhere to lay your head so you can get to the Heathrow Express easily, then it's fine." (97696204)
It was near Paddington Station and the train to Heathrow
The room was 72 steps up 5 flights of stairs with no lift. Although the manager was quite helpful in taking my luggage up, after a hard day walking it was an effort to get up the stairs.

I have stayed in other hotels in the area before, however I have to say that this hotel was one of the best in the area.I thought the staff to be pleasant and helpful, the room although a bit small was clean and the facilitieswere fairly good, a pleasant stay

The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely. Also particularly liked the location, so close to Paddington station meant the city centre was very accessible at all times.
Bathroom was slightly cramped and the light over the mirror did not work.

Comfortable, warm. Good breakfast service. Pleasant, polite female receptionist.
Male reception staff rather terse and unwelcoming. Not a good first impression. A smile, good manners and tidy appearance cost nothing and will encourage guests to return.

"Realmente quedamos satisfechos con nuestro alojamiento, la primera vez que nos quedamos ya que nuestra habitación estaba muy bién pero estaba en el tercer piso y no había ascensor, la segunda vez nos dieron una habitación en la planta baja, lo de no subir escaleras con las maletas estaba bien, pero olía muy mal, la ventana daba hacía la chimenea de una cocina por lo que no podiamos abrirla y la puerta que daba a un patio estaba rota y no se podía abrir, y por las noches hacía un frio insoportable y la calefacción no estaba encendida." Un desayuno excelente y una localización inmejorable
Podrían esmerarse mejor en la limpieza y conectar la calefacción aunque sea por las noches porque la habitacion me resultó fría.
