  "De notre expèrience à Londres en hotels bons marché, ce fut la meilleure. La situation entre Stansted et Liverpool Station, a côté de la gare est très pratique, autant pour une arrivée tardive à Stansted que pour un départ aux aurores. Le personnel est extrêmement aimable et serviable. Il y a une réelle attention aux attentes du client." (2856805)

  "Although staff and restaurant food was good I am afraid the standard of the room was more for workman." (108123745)

  Food in Chinese Restaurant was excellent. Staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful.

  Room was not of a very good standard No towels, had to ask for one. Cover on bed was torn. Bathroom was cold so having a shower at 4.30am was not a good experience. No lift so i had to drag my suitcase down several flights of stairs as there was no staff on to help.

  Unwashed bed linnen. Dirty, sticky floor. Urine stains on bathroom floor next to toilet. No beakers or facilities for toothbrushes etc. Old and grey bathtowel. No towel rails in bathroom. Very basic.

  Shower was blocked, toilet cistern broken, head-board broken, basic tv, no tea bags, smell of restaurants downstairs, sound of trains outside the window, towels not adequate, bed itchy, 1 shocking pillow each!

  "Got what you paid for and the room "did the job", but compared to another local hotel that offered the same price, minus breakfast, I'd be tempted to try there in the future and other places before coming back to the Oasis." (108467838)

  Good selection of restaurants on/near site.

  Extra bed covers were torn and ripped in places. Towels felt like they were 'well used' and not very 'soft and fresh'. Remote control had no backing on it and batteries kept falling out. TV was ok, but couldn't play DVD's very well. Radiator didn't seem to work properly either as it was very cold in the room for long periods of time, despite trying to turn the radiators on.

  Hotel is a poor quality building. The area is dodgy and it isn't really that close to the airport (35 minute bus ride). When collecting my car upon my return, a drunk tried to get into the rear passage side door when I was setting up my Sat Nav. If you stay here, make sure you lock all the doors.

  Helpful staff, within their capabilities. Good car-park. Easy access to mainline trains and Epping Underground station.

  The hotel has an under-maintained, run-down air, typified be a dangling soap-dish in the shower and a barely functioning refrigerator. The breakfast room is dim and unattractive; the continental breakfast unexciting; and the 1h15m breakfast time-slot too short. It took 2 days to get the WiFi connection working for me. The location is rather dismal, though not inconvenient.

  Where do i start... Couldnt even see it was a hotel from the main road...all you can see is 2 tacky restaurant signs....NOTHING like the website. The reception then said that our room was £50 when i had it in writing it was £40 he then showed us to a £40 room. There was no air con, the towels were FILTHY the shower room floor was soaking as there was no shower tray. There is a major train line right behind and last but not least we were asked if we wanted an alarm call to which we said yes and (not unsurprisingly - as i thought that wont happen when he asked us) it didnt happen!. The worst hotel i have EVER stayed in and thats saying something!!!! This place should be bulldozed to the ground. I will be checking my cc bill to make sure we werent charged £50 or indeed twice!!!

  Couldn't work out the electrics of the room, despite two air conditioning units, couldn't get either to work. No key to open windows, woke up sweating like a beast. Twin room had one double and one single not two of either.

  "Can't exactly say that it was 'poor' but it was definitely no more than just about adequate. Would not recommend stay to anyone unless desperate or on serious budget. Had I known what Oasis was like would have paid a bit more and booked into Travel Lodge round the corner." (107609297)

  Close to M25 and stansted airport, room was functional and appeared to be clean

  Very very basic and no warmth or sense of invitation.. polyester sheets...BIG YUK!! Felt that no care had been taken to make you want to stay in the room for any seconds longer than absolutely necessary. I hardly slept. Whilst superficially appeared clean, I could not help wondering what was under sheets. Noise from road also disturbed.

  The manager of Oasis demand pay in advansed. No recipt was given, and nobody in the reception when we leave at 9:00 am, so we get no receipt for the payment.

  "The saving graces of this hotel were the two excellent restaurants which we ate at on both nights of out stay. However, the hotel itself was a dark, airless rabbit warren, with no discernible direction signs, so one spent much of the time getting lost! I did appreciate the keypad system and the energy-saving card function, which I had never seen before. We were relieved to be going home." (107729918)

  The few staff we encountered were friendly and as helpful as they could be. The shower was very good, and there was adequate tea/coffee-making facilities but the bedding looked suspiciously dirty.

  What can I say? The room we were offered initially was without a window, and was very claustrophobic (it had a skylight.) We asked to be transferred to an outside room. However, the helpful receptionist omitted to tell us that it was right beside the railway line, or right above the noisy kitchen of the Chinese restaurant. We therefore had very little sleep on either of the nights of our stay.

  the booking process was ok over the internet

  the room was so dirty, it stinked of cigarrette smoke and me and my wife suffer from hay fever, which compounded the situatin 100 fold. the room was cold and druaghty as the window did not work well there were no extra blankets. the bathroom was dirty the toilet had visible marks of feaces, the whole stay was a disaster. we checked out at 7 am having checked in at 11pm the previous night. the hotel staff did not help especially after i phoned them on my mobile because the hotel room phone was not working though connected, to try and sort the room ie the dity toilet, the stinking rooom, the window that was not working. they are not helpful, they are so unconcerned about the whole mess its as if the customer has to put up with their blundering and you have to pay for it too

  "Not a really good hotel for the price of 59,- GBP; the continental breakfast is poor and leisure possibilities in the near surrounding of the hotel are too. Maybe Bishop's Stortford is the better place than Harlow, when having a stop over near Stansted airport." (107612728)

  The indian restaurant "Excellence of India" is very good and worth the money.

  At my stop-over stay on the way home to Austria (second night)I did not get a key for my hotel room. As it was short before 11 p.m. when I arrived, the two restaurants at the hotel had been closed after check-in.
