  Beau cadre et bel établissement.Bon accueil. Restaurant et hôtel bien tenus. Bon repas.

  Chambre un peu petite et donnant sur la route sans double vitrage. Service de restauration trop rapide.

  lovely position,gorgeous outlook beside the river,faded but charming large bedroom and bathroom, simple breakfast in nice and quirky dining room.

  do not arrive between 3 and 5.30pm and especially not on a wednesday when restaurant and hotel are closed! A phone call got us in ,but no food,no drinks,nor use of terrace etc...

  "Not a good experience. Food was far too expensive for this class of hotel and did not represent good value for money." (107676358)

  The web site quotes as below The "deck" leaning above the river Zorn with view on the boats going in and out of the locks on the canal will refresh your peacefull moments during the hot summer days." In fact you cannot see the canal or boats from the dining deck! The waiting staff had difficulty in completing our dinner order. I was asked to pay for dinner and room the night before - which I did. The waitress gave details of the bill to a colleague who prepared a credit card slip which I signed. I was not given a copy of the itemised bill. When I asked for one I found that breakfast (which we did not intend to take) had been included.This I consider to be sharp practice.

  "Very good evening meal and nice area, it was used as a stopover on our way to Switzerland but the area is a nice area and the staff were very helpful.The food was good and the atmosphere was friendly. It was quite expensive but only because of the exchange rate of the euro to pound." (107315260)

  "A lovely place for a stay or a stopover (which we will do again as we travel past there two or three times each year) but next time we'll request a firmer mattress." (107783909)

  People very friendly, helpful & efficient. Restaurant 1st class - wonderful food. Hotel style & decor charming - very French countryside feel.

  Mattress on bed too soft - backache next day. Shame as apart from this stopover was excellent.
