  "Over priced by booking through you, cheaper prices offered through walk ins, appalling staff and running the gauntlet of intimidating/possible drugdealers. Not a nice experience. Great room though, nice stylish decor and great location." (108030713)

  location, nice decor

  dreadful communication with check-in staff who can't speak English and are more worried about getting hold of your credit card without explaining. i do not expect to be "grunted" at in London in 2008. Intimidating potential underworld characters loitering in reception on saturday night, Blacked out windows on the mercs and range rovers parked outside the hotel and guys in sunglasses at 11pm in the lobby are not a welcoming sight for couples.

  Room - fantastic Facilities in room - fantastic even catered for cold people had an electric heater which was great for me as I get cold alot! Service was excellant - reception staff friendly and helpful

  "Very good, although we had a copy of our online booking with a confirmation number the hotel had no record of it, the staff were extremely helpful and upgraded us to a better room. We only stayed for one night but the room was excellent and the breakfast and organisation in the restaurant was very good." (97344105)

  The room was excellent as we were upgraded to a superior room due to our online booking not having been booked in.

  "When booking online, it states that VAT was included in the price. When we got to the hotel - it was not included. It was rectified but had I not asked it would not have been checked and we would have been charged." (97754898)

  Liked the decor. Good selection of movies

  Food was extremely adequate..kind of pub like - not what I would expect from a four star.

  "the accomodation met our needs perfectly being so close to the 02 arena the room and facilities were excellent and the location was peacefull despite the extensive building work at adjoining sites. The room was very comfortable and the ensuite facilities, particularly the towels, were of a high standard and the room was very clean." (97884988)

  It was good to be offered a smoking room and not treated like a leper! and the staff were discreet and welcoming anticipating any requests we might make

  rate was excellent.size of room and storage space was brilliant. was well cleaned, staff was friendly and helpful

  didn't get my newspaper every day. breakfast vey expensive and not much flexibility

  The view was fantastic.It was clean as well

  When I had a guest she was sent straight up and the intercom in my room was without dail tone.If it was working I wasn't given instructions on how to get it started.

  "Air conditioning was not as you would imagine - even with temperature set to 15 degrees the room was still warm - we were moved to an alternate room but still had the same issue which would suggest central controls stop it actually working to your requirements. Room was not designed well - hairdryer was locked in the wardrobe which meant you had to stand by the bathroom door to dry your hair - not good when it takes 1.5 hours to dry your hair! Also although staff were very friendly when we reported our problem with the air conditioning it took 4 calls and 2 hours before anyone turned up to look at it." (99735479)

  "I booked this room for my boss, but when he turned up on the evening,after having spent the day on a company day out, tired and slightly hungover from the celebrations the evening before - there was no record of his booking at all. We also had two other members of our staff staying in your hotel that evening and due to overbooking, one of my colleagues was placed in alternative accommodation, but the other could stay. As there was no record of my bosses booking, he had to find his own accommodation elsewhere - so three colleagues had to stay in three different hotels. Overall, not impressed at all." (99440430)

  We would like to have been able to have a cup of tea and a sandwich in the bar after the event we attended - approx. 11.00pm.

  Spacious room with good views. Very quiet surroundings, with only occassional airplane overflying (city airport nearby, but DO NOT let the latter discourage you, THRE WAS NO NOISE!) Everything in working order. Very nice clean hotel. Good amenities. Tasty, well cooked cuisine and drinks at reasonable prices. Staff very friendly and breaking their backs to help and sort stuff out.

  I was told by hotel staff it would be cheaper to get a mini cab than a black cab to take us (2 people) to Waterloo stn. I realise that having been away from london for 2 and a half years, I aM NOT SURE iAM aware of mini cab prices anymore. However I strongly believe that paying 26 pounds from victoria docks to waterloo stn was a rip off. Not so much an issue with the hotel service per se, I think it was me choosing poorly.

  "The hotel is great with a contemporary feel and has a pool which is unusual for London. Being in the Docklands could be seen as a disadvantage but the rate was outstanding. The hotel is further from Canary Wharf and London City than we initially expected but is right next to a DLR station and only 15 mins away from Tower Gateway." (3304477067)

  "upon arrival in the room, there were a number of 'deals' leaflets displayed prominently, although I was not informed of this on arrival or offered any form of upgrade... they missed a sitting target! newspapers were not offered or available on a late (10.30) rising on Sunday morning. only two tebags in the room - not much for a double room overnight plus breakfast, extra was provided cheerfully when requested and delivered within ten minutes of request. staff were generally very polite, clean and genuinely helpful, though tea and toast service to the table at breakfast in the restaurant was woefully slow and had to be chased - @" (3304378384)

  "I would recommend this hotel definitely. Overall it was a very pleasant stay, the staff were informative and polite, the rooms were tastefully decorated, stylish and clean, the complimentary pool, gym and sauna use was a welcomed and very relaxing element to the whole experience and the price was just right.   I thought that it was in a perfect location, the picturesque view of the Royal Victoria sailing and boating docks, ideal for a leisurely stroll or just to appreciate the serenity of it all. The hotel was stylish, modern, clean and inviting, and the bar in the evening was lively and colourful.

  I didn't get to sample the food due to the uneccessary and extortianate prices on the menu - that I would strongly advise to be reviewed. Another area for improvement is the sauna, I didn't really see the point of having a mixed sex spa room but separating the sauna's into male and female ones. I think both the spa and sauna facilities should be mixed as alot of couples use them both and would like to use them together.

  "Staff are great and make up for a lot of the failings of the hotel - the quality of the food is poor and it is overpriced The decor is shabby in places and needs updating- ripped carpets in the hallway are dangerous I would not rush to stay in this hotel again" (3304296009)

  When we finally got put into a larger room the facilities were ok - the first room we were offered was too small , the second was a smoking room and fonally we got a better room with adequate facilities

  the carpets and decor in the halls was badly worn and verging on dangerous- the breakfast was appalling - the cooked food was cold, on some mornings a lot of the cold food and yoghurts had run out - for a so called four star hotle this was just not acceptable

  "The pool and view really made it value for money - we thought £10 too steep for a breakfast each, and the evening food availability was a bit limited but no doubt you have to catch up profits being in the location you are, so fair enough. The staff were very well chosen - polite, friendly and competent they totally made the difference between this and any other hotel. I would certainly recommend this hotel on that basis to any overseas friends as I would be confident about the staff." (3304139376)

  We truly appreciated the fact that the non smoking room did not smell of tobacco at all. Well done !

  our kettle did not work and we had to phone in for replacement - small detail but might have annoyed some . . the shower/bath instructions really could have been in a few more languages as it was a bit unusual in its operation. ditto a simple diagram for the sink plug. More information of the fact that hairdryers towels etc were available in the swimming pool area

  The Hotel was a lovely place which felt easy to relax in. Also the food was excellent and worth the money.

  At the moment to get from the nearest tube to the hotel we found we had to walk in the road and was unsure at first which way to go.
