the staff were excellent,very helpful and friendly,the rooms were compact and cosy i did nt really find fault with anything.
no real points but there could have been a bit more stock at the bar.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a quiet area yet just across the road from the metro, which was very useful in getting into town quickly or the coast. There was also plenty of parking. The bar and resturant was also available to non residents which was lovely if you wanted friends or family to see you there. The continental breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety. My single room was quite adequate for one and very clean The shower had very good water pressure.
The mattress could have done with a topper as the springs were felt.

Interior a little dated and in need of redcoration Thin, light coloured curtains with a light outside the room meant we had to use T shirts to shield our eyes - otherwise sleep would have beem impossible

5 minutes away from a wonderful chinese takeaway
No toilet paper in my room on arrival. The bathroom was clad in UPVC, reminded me of a bathroom in a caravan. Funny smell in both the corridor and the bedroom. Poor mattress on the bed you could feel every spring in it.

The bed was fairly comfortable is the only good point I have to make about this hotel.
The room was not particularly cleaned to a reasonable standard. Was a bit annoyed when I reached for the toliet paper and the dispenser fell open spilling sheets of toilet paper all over the floor! Tried to fix it unsuccesfully! The hot tap in the sink did not work properly and at times the water just trickled out. The room was not cleaned the whole weekend and I was shocked to come back on Saturday evening to find the cleaner had left the clean towels outside the door in the coridoor! The reception staff were not at all friendly and I found them borderline rude at times, including the cleaner!

room very small, only terrestrial TV channels, bed un-comfortable, 'continental breakfast' poor - no option for full breakfast. Not clear prior to booking that no 'smoking rooms' were available (Non-smoking policy)

Overall the staff were very friendly and polite.
The hotel needs renovating. The beds were clean but uncomfortable. The food was not very good.

Quiet surrounding area, quiet hotel (depends on the guests too, I guess, but still the guests are required to behave calmly after 11:00 pm), very good breakfast (consisitng of cereals, fruits, toasts, scrambled eggs, tea or coffe), excellent connection to the city centre and the coast by metro, the room was clean, bed comfortable, wifi in the bar, staff helpful, good atmosphere
The room was little bit cold due to the weather. The carpet in the bathroom was little bit old.

so overshadowed by the bad points i now can't remember them.
when we stayed last time we all commented on the excellent breakfast. it was the main reason for choosing the hotel. this time the 'continental' breakfast was appalling. inedible and tasteless scrammbled egg rolled off the plate. the staff attitude, with the exception of the singing night porter, were unhappy to aggressive. At least three of my party of 11 people were upset when they were shouted at for trying to pour orange juice 5 mins before 'breakfast' started. i found one in tears. When i tried to check the team out to catch our plane and was sharply told to wait.

Warm, clean, friendly
Walkers, tourists, business men need a cooked breakfast even if we have to pay extra....and not just scrambled egg..take it or leasve it!! Prunes at breakfast were in the same bowl, same broken cling film for all of our 3 day stay.

Ease of parking , and close to Metro ,and convenient location , for rest of our journey south.
After a long journey from Scotland it was poor to find the restaurant closed ,due to no Chef. Therefore we had to go out and get a takeaway fish and chips , because the takeaway offered was only Indian or Chinese.

Quiet, friendly staff and good night sleep
small room, but this was not a major factor as I was on my own and the price of the hotel was excellent for the facilities. Overall i was very happy with my stay and if I am in that area in the future I would definitely consider staying there again
