the Gresham is a really good hotel the food is always very good and plenty of it. and the people who run it are always friendly and welcoming.
i think the hotel would benefit from an update the bathroom was very small nowhere to put towels or shampoo and stuff. also the bed was a bit lumpy.

The owners were very friendly people and they made us feel very welcome in their guest house and they were extremely helpful. The room was immaculate with all the facilities we needed. The breakfast we had was of very high standard. no shortcuts and the best of food. Service was superb. We had a very enjoyale stay and would recommend the Gresham to friends who wished to go to Scarborough.

The staff were very pleasant and accomodating of a medical dietary need. The room was clean ans comfortable and suited to our requirements.
Nothing of the hotel, but it was at the top of a hill from the beach area.

brilliant breakfast they was plenty on offer and it was cooked perfectly.
no bad points really apart from that the top of the wardrobe had a layer of dust on it and the tv didnt have a very gd reception.

Tea and Coffee facilities in the room + TV, and ironing facilities, along with bar facilities in the lounge and very reasonable prices.
Freedom to come and go as you please, and no time limit on what time you arrived back having been given a key

The confirmation email was informative and reassuring. Unfortunately, with such a small car park, we had to leave our car parked on the corner of a road overnight. I would have preferred off road parking for our stay. The hoteliers were very friendly and courteous. Although we needed little help from them, my overriding feeling is that nothing would have been too much trouble for them. Although in a quiet spot, the hotel is a very long walk from town centre. Had we known this, we would most likely have continued our search before finally booking a hotel. I have to say, though, this is not a complaint." (97251591)
I liked the friendliness of the staff and the pleasant surroundings.
I felt the room was a bit cramped and the bathroom was a little run down.

Excellemt breakfast
Quite a distance from the railway station. But I used the No.3 bus from outside Debenham's to North Leas Avenue and into town on the open top bus (very late in the season) from North bay to the Cliff Lift on the promenade.

Had parking facilities. Breakfast was large and good and catered for vegetarians.
Room was small (but acknowledge it was a cheap deal). Public rooms were untidy with paperwork and personal belongings. Hotel was very cold, even when the heating was on.

very good full english breakfast, nicely cooked and well presented
we felt uncomfortable as we were greeted with " we tried to stop you coming" We stated that we have 3 small king charles cavaliers on the booking form.....but on arrival informed only 1 dog was allowed. We booked with enough time to contact us,either by phone ,email, or even normal post. It was a very embarrasing reception, and we spent all of our stay sneaking around quietly!! Needless to say, there were some noisy guests at night....much louder than our dogs!!
