Pleasant helpfulness of staff. Warmth and cleanliness of room. Low tech nature of shower - I hate having to work out how to use equipment that should be simple to use. Slip proof nature of bathroom floor and cleanliness of bathroom. Re-usable supplies (loo paper, shower gel, tea, coffee etc) all kept topped up.
Worried there was only one egress route in case of fire (and that narrow); also - because I'm both deaf and a heavy sleeper - that there didn't seem to be either a fire alarm in every room or an (enhanced) phone to alert people; and that a fire door was repeatedly propped open (suggest removing the prop!). The room was very narrow but that's not surprising in central London and in a budget hotel.

Clean, good beds, not noise. Wery near the underground.
Our room was wery small, no hair dryer or shampo.

Reasonable value. Clean. Near my work venue. Convenient to tube.
No staff at reception when we arrived. Had to ask for hair dryer. Poor reception on TV. Bit noisy.

The staff were very kind, I arrived at 9.30 with my 4 year old, check in is at 14 but they gave us our room straight away, it made a big difference as I we could rest and freshen up before we emabrked on a day long sightseeing!
Dripping water faucet that was hard to turn off completely, that was the only thing out of order!

Breakfast was advertised at the Cafe underneath the hotel (can't remember the name of it) at £9 for full english & £7 for continental but when we went down on the Sunday morning it was closed!! Not impressed with that!

Convenient for our visit to The Globe. Double room was reasonable size. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Clean. Also visited Southwark Cathedral and walked alongside The Thames after excellent meal at the fish restaurant in Borough Market area.
Noise from sirens. No lifts so could be difficult for some visitors.

Clean, well-planned and fitted. Good sized room. Convenient location close to city.
My room was close to traffic noise (broken man-hole in street kept me awake). Non-ensuite but good bathroom. Breafast in cafe below was a good idea but not good value for money.

Friendly staff, very clean room, a good selection of flavoured teas and coffee. Good location.
The walls are quite thin and I was woken up by people having sex. I then had to walk past these people in the corridor in the morning, and I was thinking 'I was listening to you having sex last night.' It was horrible because they weren't even very sexy people, they were middle aged and flabby. Disgusting.

I really appreciate the special service by the reception, and especially want to honor Somnath. He really made a difference. He is extremely friendly and polite and helped me when I did not have time for breakfast, by arranging a "takeaway" breakfast box in the morning.

The hotel was very clean. Great shower. The staff were polite.
Access via the steep narrow stairway was difficult with luggage. As the window looked over a rear courtyard I could not open it for long due to the cooking smells from adjacent buildings. This caused a problem as the room was very warm indeed and I could not ventilate as a consequence of this. I would definitely not book the hotel during the summer months as I am sure this would make the room unbearable with the heat.

Apart from comment below hotel was quiet and very comfortable. Very convenient being right next door to a tube station and above a small cafe which served an excellent breakfast. Staff were very helpful and the hotel was very convenient for access to South Bank attractions and the London Eye.
Doors of rooms closed with a loud bang - not good at 4.00am when visitors returned late!

Helpful staff at check in Clean and tidy room and shared bathroom
Room was small but was ok for an overnight stop. Aerial socket was level with the bed so care had to be taken not to injure yourself on it.
