Staff were really friendly and the guest house had a really 'homely' feel to it. The room was lovely!
Nothing to complain about really...except that one of the windows in our room rattled as it was quite bad weather when we stayed!

The room was excellent with a view of the mountains. Also the location was just 2 minutes walk from the bus station and the tourist information centre. Highly recommended.
The name of the hotel was not clearly visible. Also the car parking was just in front of the entrance. In case you have a big suitcase, you may have difficulty in taking the luggage.

Breakfast was really early though, 8.30 - 9.15am be prepared any later and the kitchen is closed but full english was lovely." (99623132)
Very close to both town centres, nice walks and in distance for everything. very good
The room could have been a bit cleaner, especially the bathroom, some of the wallpaper was even coming away!

parking space very Ltd, but with us been on motor bike it didnt inconvenience us very much,

This is a lovely Victorian house tastefully converted into a hotel. The proprietors were helpful, friendly and available without being intrusive.
The only drawback was the lack of a lounge.

warm friendly atmosphere great selection at breakfast
not a lot of parking breakfast could have been upto 10.00am we tried parking at the back and we were quite shocked at the back area?

Crompton House, Windermere commentaires"A pleasant room and friendly proprietors but the stay was spoiled for me by the proliferation of notices warning of immediate eviction and surcharges for eating take aways in the room, smoking etc. Also signs saying don't make too much noise, you might wake up our children. I accept that some notices are needed but there were too many and their tone was too harsh. When on holiday I want to relax and not worry about whether I am breaking the regulations!" (3305430619)

Crompton House, Windermere commentaires"Crompton House turned out to be very close to what we were expecting from the website, but in fact our expectations were exceeded. The zero tolerance of smoking or fast food in the guest rooms has really paid off by providing guests with a clean, pleasant environment. The room we were in (number 1) was tastefully decorated and comfortable, and there was lots of storage space and an en-suite shower room. The high point however was the breakfast: classic British bacon and egg with tea and toast - the ideal way to set you up for walking in the Lake District." (3304492944)

We would not hesitate to stay there agin should we be visiting the area again. The food was excellent and there was a good choice for breakfast. The facilities were clean and in good working order. We found the accomodation easy to find and the couple running the hotel were pleaseant and friendly. The accomodation was clean and comfortable.
The parking might be a problem but on our stay we were the only car to use the car park.
