Hotel was OK
Reservation was made online but on arrival the booking reference was not reconised and they had no record of this, but did sort out a couple of rooms but not waht was originally booked. On Friday i recieved a bill in the post for a no show for Tuesday the 19th, which i never booked, i booked the 20th. this really got to me after not reconising the reservation but has been sorted after a number of heated phone conversation.

Easy booking process. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast choice. Plenty of parking spaces.
Checkout time on website and confirmation email stated by 5am. My query on my booking was not answered, so made phonecall to claify. Actual end product all fine though.

Entrance was enviting Bar area very important just for sociable drinking even just a coffee Lounge seating area very good for unwinding The whole hotel was very clean The hotel staff were extreamly helpful nothing was a problem

Don't think you should charge for an Internet connection, it's a bit penny pinching. Many people like myself have our laptops with us and for the time people are on the Internet would be nothing virtually." (107392889)
Bedroom doors should close silently, at present certainly not.This is irratating. Would be nice to order and pay for a newspaper the night before and have it left at the bedroom door. The grouting cleaned with a simple solution of bleach or soda around the bath would improve the appearance.

Room was well decorated, clean and welcoming.
More tea/coffee/sugar - there was only enough for us to have one drink each. The room needed a toilet brush in the bathroom!

We informed reception of a leak in our ceiling, at 7pm, 5 mins after checking in, we were informed a new room would be found, as the inn was totally booked this was not possible. On checking in we booked a table for dinner at 8.30. We were left not knowing what was happening in our, we removed the bedding from the bed, moved it away form the leak, and placed the waste bin under it to catch the water. At 8.15 when we went down for dinner we explained this to reception anexplained that as the leak had ceased, if they remade the bed we would keep the room. On arriving at the resturant they had no reservation for us and again we had to wait for this to be confirmed. After ordering our meal we then waited 40 mins for our starters, we were told we are very busy tonight This should have been expected and better managed as the inn was fully booked. I was disappointed not to be offered some kind of financial gesture for the upset to our weekend" (97182500)
Bright, modern, clean.
Customer service. Once we had checked in and located a leak in our ceiling. We were left with no update. When we went down for our dinner, booked for 8.30 the restaurant had no reservation for us and we had to wait to have it confirmed.

The food in both bar and resteraunt were appalling quality and expensive. The food was not complicated or difficult but burning pease takes some doing!! staff very freindly and helpfull
people hanging around outside the front of hotel smoking,and drinking this did not give a good image. Although this is much better than people smoking inside the bar area.

the pool was closed at 21.00 even thought it advertised to be open until 22.00 and the receptionist on the desk was very rude and didnt explain why it was closed at this time.

The Health Spa was very good and easy to use - towels were provided and the staff even lent me a pound coin for the locker. The bar area was bright and welcoming and I didn't feel uncomfortable sitting there on my own before my husband arrived. Our breakfast (not included in the room rate) the next day was very good and offered a lot of variety and choice. The only drawback was that there was no obvious lift to the first floor - this was not a problem for me, but might have been an issue for other guests." (99628215)

I found and booked this hotel on the internet and we were not disappointed. The staff are very helpful and pleasent and we enjoyed our 2 day break staying at this hotel. Good clean room with all facilities, particularly liked the option of a bath and/or shower. Lots of hotels are getting rid of their baths. The £45 price for a double room is very fair.
Although your room price was very fair, your food and particularly drink prices were very high. In fact if your prices were lower you would have made more money from us as we would have stayed in your bar and eaten there instead of going down to Peterborough to wine & dine.
