  "We very impressed with the hospitality, friendliness and surroundings of the hotel. We were unable to get a taxi back to the hotel in the early hours of the morning and the night porter went beyond the call of duty to ensure we got back to the hotel.   "The food was A1 very nice. As i am a ex chef and my wife is a chef could not fault the food any where. You have a top chef and kitchen team......." (97773180)

  It was clean and comfortable.

  There was no hot water at the sink i had to shave in cold water. The bath was on the small side, very disappionted to say it was one of you high end rooms. Tea and coffee was limited aswell. You advetised the room would have a flat screen tv it did not.

  "We had a fantastic time and I would also like to make a special mention to Gemma who we found to be very professional and polite at all times. The only suggestion I would like to make is that snacks be available during the day. On the Sunday during the day we only wanted a sandwich as we were going to have a meal later in the evening in your restaurant. I understand the chef was very busy with Sunday lunch and so our request could not be fulfilled, however it was late afternoon and not many guests were left in the restaurant. This is only a suggestion and not a complaint. We had a lovely time and were very impressed with the hotel and its staff. We have already booked to come back in July for our wedding anniversary. Can't wait!!!!!!" (97189671)

  Very happy. Selford house is a beautiful place. Well looked after. I loved the before and after photo album of the house.

  In the hallway to the stairs you could smell damp and the carpet was wet. The weather was terrible during our stay but I was more concerned for the house and the damage that might be being caused to the wooden flooring underneath. The house has been beautifully restored so things like damp need to be sorted. However I would like to point out that this did not ruin our stay. You have to remember the house is nearly 500 years old.

  "we loved the hotel as it was very romantic old historic building, the restaurant was very nice,only a bit too fast in the service..we could not finish the starters that the main course was already there! but overall i think I could go back again if I have to choose..." (97100432)

  The hotel was very nice and romantic,it was very clean and the food was good.

  unfortunately we could not sleep in the night as the walls were not insulated.We could hear everithing the people close to us were doing plus the pump upstairs was making a crazy noise that went on for about 3 hours.The staff in the hotel offer us to change room but we refuse as we were already in bed and was alredy late and we weren`t bode to make the luggage again.....

  "This hotel is in a beautiful setting and is brimming with character. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and very bright for an older style building. Our meal in the restaurant was superb and excellent value for money. The service was first class, there when it was needed but not intrusive." (99918266)

  The hotel is full of character, as was our room. It was tastefully furnished with a suitable level of quirkiness in keeping with the age of the building.

  The shower could have been more powerful and a mechanism for calling reception staff when reception is not manned would be useful

  "We were immediately impressed by the historical character and atmosphere of the hotel and we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff.We stayed in a room with period features and four poster bed, which was in keeping with our visits to the historical sites of nearby Stratford Upon Avon and the local area during our stay.The restaurant was also full of character,the staff excellent, and food impressive.Overall we felt that the hotel was not only a base for visits to places of interest in the area, it was a memorable feature of our break which we would highly recommend."   It was in a nice location with beautiful surroundings.

  We weren't in the main hotel but in one of the attached rooms. It wasn't anything as special as we thought it would be especially at the price we paid.

  Beautiful building

  Bathroom floor not cleaned, lighting completely inadequate, pathway outside window - no net curtain, very noisy - could hear people upstairs yawning & walking backwards & forwards all night, clearly they didn't sleep well either.

  Very quiet location and excellent food.

  Given a room in the annex on the ground floor - would prefer, for security purposes if hotels considered this is not always the best option for female guests. Reserved a double room but was allocated a twin on arrival and one of the radiators in the room didn't work so it was very cold.

  "A beautiful hotel in wonderful countryside. The hotel has been tastefully decorated with all it's original features maintained and enhanced. The service was excellent, staff were friendly, helpful, relaxed and efficient. The food was superb....in fact .....if you're into English breakfast....stay here....this was the best breakfast I have ever had! Some details the hotel excels at...e.g. soft fluffy towels in the bathroom...however, the range of coffees/teas available in the room was limited....e.g. no herbal teas, no hot chocolate... and unfortuantely supporting Nestle...by only supplying Nescafe. Overall....outstanding hotel, service and value for money! I'd book again....but bring my own tea and coffee." (3305026103)

  Unfortunately the noise from the A46 does intrude a little.

  "Having got information from your web site regarding details of Salford Hall and having actually seen it 'for real' a couple of times from the road it was everything we expected. We have yet to sample your award winning restuarant, but if your sandwiches are anything to go by,then all should be well!   Warm,welcoming and best of all,'Traditional'.Lovely to share in a bit of 'history'.

  The garden areas looked a bit 'tired'.Nonetheless suited to a country establishment.

  "In general we found the locality of the hotel excellent.The staff were all very courteous, informative, pleasant and attentative. We would liked to have had a better knowledge of the layout of the accommodation and perhaps information on any interesting walks in the locality." (2465102)

  The bedroom was light and airy, well furnished and with excellent views over the countryside. It was also very quiet.

  Hot water in the bathroom sink took a long time to come through. Also the shower had no real power. Hot breakfasts were not tasty.

  "I thought the hotel (Salford Hall, Evesham) was lovely and looked very welcoming. Everything was really neat and clean and the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. However, the room alone was 140 pounds per night (B&B) and I do not think that was such good value as it was very small and the en suite was not of a very high standard. The shower was not electric - it came directly from the taps, it was fixed and could not be adjusted or even directed easily. There was also no cold tap water available as the water from the cold tap was hot, which made cleaning teeth rather an unpleasant experience and meant we could not get a drink of plain tap water during the night. The tiling was also rather shabby. The room was housed in a separate annnexe a little way from the main hotel - it might have been nice to know about this in advance. However, the restaurant was excellent and the food and service were first class." (1539768)
