Food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast
I struggle to find one although I suppose the bar is fairly limited (no draft beer)

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"The right place at the right time for us!" (107505280)
The Cotford hotel is a welcoming and peaceful place to stay if you are visiting Malvern. The food was superb; we both cannot recommend it highly enough!
We found nothing to complain about.

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful." (107764480)
The food in particular was very very good, I had looked at menus of other hotels when looking for somewhwere to stay and selected the Cotsford....I chose well!
My TV would only play in balck and white for half of one evening then it suddenly went back to colour.

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"Overpriced. Meal very ordinary for the price of it. Claustrophobic atmosphere with the owners always around. No offer of reduction for daughter not eating breakfast, which we were informed cost " (108015548)
Close to town centre.
Overpriced for the old fashioned, cramped bedroom. Our experience of eating in the hotel ruined by being stuck behind an open door, shutting off views of garden and rest of the room. Had to ask to change to empty window table. Next morning my daughter had to leave before breakfast. I was then stuck at the same behind the door table for breakfast on my own, despite the window table being empty again. Made to feel 2nd class guest!

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"I had not realised that the hotel had a rosette for its cuisine. The evening meal was certainly every bit as good as a 2 rosette hotel I stayed in recenty in Cornwall The house and setting was delightful. There is a lovely garden with views, which was great to wander round with a glass of wine and relax, and to admire the attractive house. The owners were enthusiastic, caring, and friendly which made the stay a warm and pleasurable experience. I would recommend the hotel to anyone" (97440089)
It was friendly, well run and comfortabe and the food excellent. Very good value for money
room 1 was a little noisy - you could hear everything going on downstairs and the telephone conversations - but is had a lovely view and was comfortable, and quiet at night

friendly staff dog friendly
We were given a room that we could have our dog in-not sure if this room was typical but the decor was a bit tired and it was pokey

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"The hotel was more like a boarding house. The reception was friendly and helpful. My room was rather small and the furniture dated and worn. The TV is too small. The bathroom was OK but poorly maintained - eg the towel rail fell off the wall when used. By contrast, the meals in the restaurant were of outstanding quality - I would recommend the hotel mainly for this reason." (97140674)
Dinner. The meal was outstanding.
Single room was rather small.

All very friendly and helpful: good dining room with both dinner and breakfast (although I had time only for a quick continental breakfast), and an excellent evening meal with nice side touches.
Nothing really

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"The Cotford is a great small hotel. It is a well run family business with true character and attention to detail. Whilst the accomodation is good and all one would expect from a three-star hotel, the restaurant food for both dinner and breakfast is fantastic and should be sampled by all!" (97518122)
Well maintained traditional accommodation with great character.

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"Despite our disappointment with the bedroom the public rooms were very comfortable. Nice bar area for pre dinner drinks, comfortable and extremely good restaurant. The menu was really well balanced and the food was excellent, in fact the best meals we have had for a long time. The hotel owner is a chef of some standing and clearly takes a pride in producing quality food from fresh local ingredients. We also liked the very comfortable lounge area with after dinner coffee being served there. Broadband is also available at a reasonable cost, something we did not know about prior to our arrival" (99685911)
The very friendly and helpful staff and the personal touch of the owers who were very visible and involved personally in the running of the hotel
Our room was a little small and tired however the new owners have only recently taken over the hotel and my expectation is that they will gradually improve this

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"The hotel was a lovely bijou hotel with excellent hospitality and customer service. It had a wonderful appearance and setting with a lovely hillside garden. It was most convenient for the centre of Great Malvern. The hotel restaurant provided an excellent high quality French based cuisine served in a friendly manner. All staff were polite and helpful. The overall package was excellent and represented good value for money and was worthy of a 4* hotel. We are certainly going to go back there again!" (99991544)
Mine host's hospitality; excellence of the food in the restaurant; the general decor and ambience; and the setting near to the centre of Great Malvern
the power of the shower; the lack of a local map of the Malverns

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"The atmosphere struck a happy balance of formality and informality. One felt encouraged to be relaxed and to enjoy the garden and the residents bar and lounge. Food was good and well cooked and presented. I think that potential guests would be interested to know somthing about the history of the house as this would be an incentive to book accomodation here. Rooms managed to offer modern comfort whist retaining many of the original features, high ceilings with intricate decorative freezes and window shapes with original latches and frames." (99345143)
We really enjoyed our stay at the Cotford Hotel. The hotel was very easy to locate and in a pleasant part of Malvern with a super garden and great views over the countryside. The Hotel was the converted former residence of the Bishop of Worcester and this contributed to it's charm and character.

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"The hotel offers good accommodation in a popular area and is conveniently located for attractive tourist sites. The food is good and well presented but evening meals were probably pre-prepared and microwave re-heated,as they did not have that freshly cooked taste. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is an older property which gives it an advantage in space and height of rooms. However redecoration is needed to brighten it up. It is not fully suitable for invalid guests as it has no lift or separate parking spaces. Road access to the hotel and parking is a definite let down with little room for residents' cars and limited turning space. A disadvantage with delivery vans coming and going; non residents taking available spaces early in the evening and causing residents to park elsewhere. It would appear possible to make improvements with the available land." (3305174430)
Clean,comfortable,spacious lounge,very good staff.Quiet location.
Lack of separate shower. Poor parking area and insufficient spaces especially on nights when functions take place.

Cotford Hotel, Malvern commentaires"This was the first time I had booked an hotel on line and I felt slightly worried that we would arrive and find there was no booking! However, this was not the case! We were warmly greeted, staff were helpful and informative, the atmosphere was one of visiting a home rather than a commercial business and the meals were enjoyable. The whole purpose seemed to be to make the guest feel at home.Having had poor experiences in the past with supposedly reputable hotels, we were rather apprehensive, but our fears were groundless and we had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday." (3304704406)
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and meals were imaginative and of a high quality
It would have been nice to hear a different CD during the evening meals. As we were there for several nights, 'La Donn'e mobile' lost some of its charm by the 4th night!
