  "The hotel had all the requirements we wanted plus the little extras which made all the difference." (107825048)

  Staff very welcoming amd helpful Food -excellent Peaceful setting and good views over valley.

  Cobwebs and spider above bed caused a few anxious moments,but we were able to take care of that problem !

  "The hotel stands on the edge of a quiet village and as we were travelling out of season, the whole area was quiet. The owners made us very welcome. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. The hotel and it's immediate surroundings are of considerable age and full of character." (97324268)

  Excellent food - some of the best had in France

  Room could have had slightly more facilities in the way of mirror etc

  "We enjoyed our stay very much & are more than likely to visit again. We thought it was a good location for seeing the area except on a Sunday when nothing is open even in July, which was difficult with children." (99408929)

  The location was very good with lovely views & easy to find. The hotel were very child friendly & the children enjoyed home cooking to a very high standard. We also enjoyed excellent home cooked food in the restaurant. Breakfasts were superb - fresh fruit croissant etc

  Not much. The rooms were a little on the small side

  "the hotel is situated in a small and quiet village - the view from the resturaunt terrace is delightful and the menu is small but imaginative and beautifully executed. The hotel is run by an English family and they use mainly local ingredients and suppliers- we were more than satisfied with our stay and shall most certainly go back. The value for money is unbelievable." (99076174)

  "The stay was particularly enjoyable and is worthy of repeat. The meals were very good and competitively priced. Apart from the showerhead, there were no other erksome problems" (99477155)

  The ensuite facilities. The quiet location. The atmosphere created by the couple running the hotel

  "Perhaps the major attraction of this hotel is the food. We were delighted by the quality and value of the meals, particularly the outstanding cuisine in the evenings. Other aspects of the hotel are also very good, but it is the food that you will remember!" (3305148613)

  It is a charming hotel run by friendly owners.

  There was no hair dryer. More coat-hangers would have been nice.

  "The hosts were fantastic, food delicious and our only minor complaint would be that WIFI internet was not available. Host offered us, however, the use of his personal computer. Being very hot, A/C might have been good, but not really necessary as our room was quite cool and caught the breeze. Charming village." (3304493347)

  It was serviced daily and very efficiently. It had a pretty outlook. Hosts were very informative and pleasant.

  "The minor niggles above do not detract from the fact that this is a beautiful little hotel which has great potential, and should be on everyone's beaten track. We loved it and would certainly stay there again." (3304724814)

  Situated in a beautiful hilltop town west of St Foy Le Grande, this is a charming little hotel in a beautiful setting.

  Faint smell of mould in the room on entry. Towels that were too small.

  "I left Les Remparts three days ago, and asked for a pile of brochures when I left to share with friends in Monaco. I have only one left, and have had taken to making copies of it because everyone I tell about it wants to visit!! That is customer satisfaction!!!" (3304532098)

  "the parkers run one of the loveliest little inns i've ever stayed in..the room was perfectly adequate, breakfast was served in a warm, gracious manner and the restaurant was well beyond expectations...there is a joie de vivre here that is worth every penny one spends and then some" (3304385680)
