Rooms are not very sound proof, we could almost follow the conversation in the next bedroom. Our room and adjoining room can be communicating rooms, i.e. something should be done to insulate the doors. Also, the bathroom door was a simple sliding door, which is not very nice.

Reception were really accomodating and helpful and the room was a fantastic size.
The pool was dirty and shabby looking.

The room was large and even had a sea view which we were not expecting. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not eat in the hotel but the food smelled great. Having the Carlton next door with its heated outdoor pool made the stay even better.

Location, modern decorative themes, bright & spacious bedroom & bathroom, great food & very friendly and helpful restaurant staff
Seemed to be too few staff for the bar & lounge area, couldn't get the bedroom warmed up as radiator was off despite gale outside!

Great location atop the Bournemouth Bay. Plenty of parking. Walking distance of the town centre. I was pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness and welcome from reception - great customer service.
Though the room was tidy and functional the mattress was of a poor standard. I could feel the springs; rolling over in the bed was accompanied by a mechanical orchestra. The floor creaked a lot, too: if this characteristic isn't intended for the quaint charm, nail those boards down. The shower is of the design that makes it impossible not to get soaked when turning it on run. We tried to eat at the restaurant but were 10 minutes early, so we couldn't. It is a massive space and we would have been the only customers on that night, anyway, so it would not have been atmospheric. Breakfast was a shocking price for what is available - £14.95 per person. I've paid as much in a Heathrow 4 star. I understand the need to make a profit but for a continental breakfast I feel this is excessive for what is provided.

Hotel located in wonderful suroundings overlooking the sea. exellent services for Sunday Lunch at the sister hotel (Menzies Carlton)
Some of the staff could have been a little bit friendlier.

Menzies East Cliff Court, Bournemouth commentaires"The main point was that we were not warned when we booked that there was a going to be a big party on the night we were staying. At check-in, the receptionist was very efficient and understood our concerns about noise. If we hadnt been moved, we would probably have gone somwhere else. It was nice to be upgraded, and our overall view is that we got v good value from our stay. Breakfast was OK, but for a hotel of this stature, I would have expected it to be better. Service was v good, but there was no porridge, no kippers or fish as an alternative to the bacon & sausages, and the bacon slightly undercooked for my taste. Staff were excellent, the hotel position superb, and the bar and restaurant areas very smart. V good also to have access to the pool & sports facilities in the sister hotel close by." (97191558)
Spacious--we were upgraded to a suite as we were not warned when we booked that there was a big party that evening going on to 1am, and we wanted somewhere quiet. In the event, the noise did not disturb us.
Very little--it was generally excellent. A mirror in the bedroom would have been nice. The mattress was a bit soft soft for us.

Large room with excellent view of the bay, but not all rooms are of the same size.
Nothing. Given we only booked a standard room we were very pleased to have been given a sea view room.

tilt,n turn window needs repairing. On balcony cigarette buts are left. Security door not closing property and water dispersion in bathroom basin takes an age to clear. (blockage )Room and bath too small for the money.

we spent a weekend here and loved it, it was clean and the staff were very caring making sure our stay was enjoyable and the food was great plenty of choice.We booked a superior room and thats excatley what it was.i would not hesitate on visiting this hotel or any one of the menzies hotels in the future.

the room had a good design and was kitted out with some taste, the view was nice to being on the top floor.
the walls were very thin and i could hear alot of noise from other rooms and halls , the mattress was very noisy and maybe broken. The checking out time should be 1 00 pm not 11 am , for the money you pay you should be able to lay in , and one last thing , when paying with cash for your room you should not have to pay a deposit , you are there to stay and pay good money for there services , this i thought was very rude, not a good greeting for a classy hotel . other than this it was very nice

Why have a great pianist/singer and hide him away in a dark corner facing the wall? It just doesn't make sense. The room was bright, clean and well decorated with very good facilities.
The restaurant was quite poor by comparison to the rest of the experience.

Room size, bed, clean room
Bathroom: no water pressure in the shower, water turning from hot to cold, small bathtub. The room was very hot, insufficient ventilation, windows wont open enough allow air flow and only one thick quilt.

Very nice hotel by the sea and the staff were friendly.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable and rickety with spring noises. It made for a very poor night's sleep. It was warped in the middle which forced you to fall into the center.

Staff very polite. Bathroom very nice though shower had no power.
Room very small and we could only see the sea if we stood up. I was very disappointed when we first walked into our room. We had a very poor alcarte, expensive meal in the restaurant so only ate there once. Not value for money.
