I did not like the way you charge the break fast, the room number 3 was very bad with toilet problem in dirty bathroom, however, the room of my soon (room 2) was good and clean and lovely. nevertheless, the location of the hotel will make me to stay there again one more time to see if you have changed. Finally, I did not lik the way you sold my rooms while I was still staying in; and this situation forced to take rooms in Holdays Inn High whycombe. I askedy your staff to add money and let me stay again but they refused. what type of customer service is that?

The staff were friendly and mostly helpful
There was a clump of hair in the room that was not ours and the bathroom could have been slightly cleaner

grounds were beautiful
double beds are more like a 3/4 bed only 1 pillow per person window blinds broken in the room light to bathroom was broken wedding disco went on past the stated 1am making it difficult to sleep

Cost
Bathroom was grotty and bath made continual gurgling noises throughout night, television was a portable. Headboard of room was adjacent to toilet of next room with ensuing noises!

Friendly Staff, amazing countryside and the hotel landscaping, garden and the nature around it is mind blowing....if you like the English Countryside this is it, stay at that hotel and you will love it..I instantly fell in love with the garden and landscaping of this hotel and has acres of land where you can simply walk around and enjoy the nature.. Lovely place!!
Basic items missing from rooms, no glass, how am I supposed to drink water if there is no glass in the room?? Had to call front desk to get a glass. Bed mattress need immediate upgrade, very uncomfortable bed, gaps under the door lets in spiders and bugs from the garden, (I killed 4 spiders that got in the room during my two weeks stay) and lets in lots of noise in the room from people walking or housekeeping pushing their carts on the hallway, room very dusty!

Good staff on reception
I was in room 75 in the coach i was dissappointed not to be in the main house as shown in the photo. The room had not had a good clean still crumbs on the floor and cobwebs in and on the lampshade. There was mildew in the bathroom.

Although the rooms are not allocated in the grand looking mansion house - we were really pleased, although surprised at our very modern room. It was clean & tidy and had wonderful views out of the gorgeous large windows.
Unfortunately the bed seemed very small for a double & it was 'dipped' in the middle, making it not very comfortable. The prices for food and drink seem very high. We were quoted £9 each for breakfast - but gracefully declined the offer.

Excellent value for money. It suited our purpose very well indeed - arriving late and leaving early as we did.
The room had a musty smell on arrival. We turned the heating on and it seemed to clear. The room was well cleaned, but it needed a good dusting at high level. The wooden blinds did not help here.

I liked the look of the buildings and the surroundings of the hotel very much. I had a nice and quiet room, which gave me good feeling of relaxation and privacy. The breakfast buffet was really good. The bar was nice and cosy.
I didn´t enjoy my dinner in the restaurant the first evening, the food was good and tasteful, but I had a filling that I was inconvenient to the staff. I didn´t want to go to the restaurant the second evening of my stay!

Bar was friendly and the food was excellent
I was put in the Coach House - an annex I guess for the (low budget visitors like me) outside the main hotel. It was warm but very unclean - the usual tell teale mould around the bath was particularly awful and as for behind the bedsid cabinet - there had not been a hoover in there for months! Most uncomfortable bed!

Very pleasant staff. Helped me out with a computer problem.
The room was shabby. The windows didn,t close properly and the blinds were difficult to work.

Excellent price of 39 pounds, booked late on internet Well located for our journey
Cooked breakfast not available at the tearly ime we needed to leave on Sarturday morning, though the rest was available and tasty. bedspread was smelly, needed a wash, and bathroom blind needed some ingenuity to make it work saving us from showering in view of anyone outside. room was really cold on arrival Felt I wouldn;t have been happy had we paid more.

Very disappointing meal - very limited menu in the restuarant. 21st birthday party with loud music. Awoken by fire alarm 11.30pm. people in next room very loud, had to ask them to be quiet at 3am,I was on a course with 8.30am start.

Bath was great, water temp nice and warm. Staff was friendly.

The room was very attractive. The high ledges / high window needed a good clean-it had irregular ceiling heights and a roller blind but at any usable height, it was fine. " (107237216)
Room was very good, bathroom was excellent, lovely shower. Lovely views etc. Breakfast was very good, included and an excellent selection was available. It was not clear that staff had to be asked for a pot of tea and there was no-one visible to ask. Toast was not visible but that could be requested. Very flexible booking; I was ill so I cancelled the Fri / Sat and my partner then booked for the Sun night only. Cancelling was courteously done, the hotel staff were also courteous and helpful when reinstating just one night.
We were told previously by staff that yes, there were Bar Snacks available at lunchtime on a Sunday. This was not the case. We would have allowed longer travelling time to find a pub lunch nearby had we been told correctly. The Sun Dinner Menu was expensive and did not suit our tastes, the only main course of meat was duck and only one fish main course too. So we hunted for a pub with a menu we liked. There was no clear instruction Notice of how to use the radiators and my partner was cold in the night. Waking up early to make tea and warm up, the radiator could be operated- and it worked very well-but a Notice was needed. It did not come on automatically at all. The room had to be vacated by 9 am, which was unduly early for us. You would not take Maestro to reserve the room, so my partner had to book in her maiden name, using a Visa Debit card and this was not convenient -but you then took her usual Maestro Debit card on paying / leaving. How come?

wonderful view from the front window. nice, quiet location with good access to local town/surrounding area.
would benefit from more opening windows-a little stuffy when the sun beams in. the toilet takes several goes to obtain full flushing. the bedside phone/clock buzzes when on so was switched off during the night. was a little disappointed to find breakfast was all finished by 9am on last morning - would benefit from a later time for leisure guests.

The staff in the hotel were pleasent and helpful and tried to rectify the issues i had with the standard of my room. Sadly they were unable to but remained pleasent throughout.
My room was at the end of an open corridor on the outside of the building. The only windows that i had were french windows on either wall. The room was so hot that i needed to open them for ventillation this was not initally possible as both catches were broken. The telephone in the room was broken so i couldnt call the receptionist to tell them. The general appearanc eof the room was shabby and unclean parts of the carpet were ripped and the room had a number of moths and insects flying around. I walked back to reception, they tried to help me stay in another room however this room was in courtyard further away within an annexe. As i was a single female i did not want to be isolated within an annexe. Throughout the night the windows continued to bang and blow open.
