  petit dejeuner dans le bordel de la cave! pas assez de table pour le petit déjeuné! l'eau mettait 10minutes à devenir chaude, quel gaspillage!

  "Unfortunately, our experience of this weekend means we will not be returning to the Ascot Hyde Park Hotel. While I appreciate that this was not a 5 star hotel, I would expect some standards to be maintain, irrespective of cost." (108211918)

  Lift worked correctly most times. There were several different reception staff, one in particular was most polite and helpful.

  Room 410 4th Floor. Spent 1st night in room with clumps of the previous guests' hair all over the floor(and it was quite long!) The hot water was only warm at best. Cracked mirror in the bathroom looking precarious as a bottom corner was broken. No plug in either the bath or wash basin. Badly cracked tiles in the bathroom. No towel rail, just the brackets. Ditto for toilet roll holder. Room was in a general state of poor decor. There was a mattress, doubled over and left immediately outside of our door, on the landing, which in my opinion was a fire risk. Linen cupboard door left open, although notice on door stated to be kept shut/locked. Sellotape on threadbare stair carpet to breakfast room in basement.

  Dog blankets on bed (woolen sheets) that you see in all indian run hotels Put in a room on the top floor next to the lift shaft which never stopped Had to sleep on towels as the bed was making me itch

  Su situación a pocos metros de Paddington Station.

  El Ascot Hyde Park Hotel no responde en absoluto al standard "Tres estrellas" Las habtaciones son pequeñas e incómodas, el personal es poco amable, el comedor en donde se sirve el desayuno es totalmente inapropiado (pequeño y poco limpio, la recepción está en un corredor estrecho por el cual es impsible circulare cuando hay otra persona, cobran un 4% de recargo por pago con tarjeta de crédito (sin opción a pago cash)y cobran 5 libras por hacer uso de un lóbrego luggage room.

  Bed was old and hard. Could feel the springs, and was very creeky. Tv was too small and high on the wall, so was awkward to see, plus there was no remote, so had to stand on the bed to change the channel. Ended up taking the TV off the wall mount, and placing it on bed in order towatch without neck pain.

  "The double room was an ok size for one person but not for two. I am glad I only stayed two nights because I could not have stayed any longer. I have stayed in a much better hotel just 30 mins away for a lower price. The location is the best feature of this hotel." (108119758)

  the price, good location with being right next the station as I arrived at half 10 I did not want to travel around London to a hotel. You can also pick up the internet from your room which was good for as this is one of the reasons I picked the hotel.

  I had to carry my lugguage up to level 3 even though it said it had a lift in the hotel but because my room was situated in another block. Wen I arrived the man on reception said I had be given a double room as they had no singles which I was glad about as the double was just like a single you could not fit two people in there. I was horrified by the bedding and when I went to get into bed black hairs everywhere so I slept on towels on the bed with my coat covering me. As I had a interview when I was departing the hotel I asked if I could leave my suitcase there as on the website it said it had a room where I could leave my stuff and it did not say anything about a charge. I had to pay £5 and it was just left in a room where everybody had access to.

  Quiet most of time all facilities in working order

  when returned to room on second morning after housekeeping had been in the door was unlocked. On the day of check out even though check out was up to 11am i had a knock on my door at 0930 asking when was i leaving. Breakfast was crap and besides the staff at the front desk the rest were rude and unwelcoming

  - cold shower during the all stay - toilets not working (had to use the common toilets even tough we paid an extra cost to have our own) - Breakfast room so small that you had to queue to get a table and have your breakfast seated. - AND you had to clean the table before seating for breakfast

  Breakfast room - disaster. Cannot understand at all how you can have a breakfast room for 15 guest when at least 70 people where staying. Unfriendly staff at the check-in counter!!!

  "Ich frage mich, wie dieses Hotel an 3 Sterne gelangt ist. Der Hotelstandard ist geringer als der einer deutschen Jugendherberge der Kategorie IV. Die Fotos im Internet stimmen nicht mit den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten überein." (107501308)

  Das Hotel hat eine zentrale Lage und ist preisgünstig. Das Zimmer und der Speiseraum waren sauber.

  Zimmer war renovierungsbedürftig. Schloss des Badezimmers war defekt, so dass die Tür von INNEN nicht geöffnet werden konnte. Defekte Fliesen und teilweise fehlende Silikonfugen. Tapeten im Schlafzimmer beschädigt, Putzschäden und ausgerissene Dübellöcher in den Wänden. Der Speisesaal wird teilweise als Lager (gestapelte Kisten) verwendet. Gedecke und Geschirr nicht einheitlich (vermutlich gibt es keine zwei gleichen Teller), Tischdecken aus Plastik und klebrig. Frühstücksauswahl bescheiden. Personal an der Rezeption unfreundlich.

  "For the price we paid we got an adequate room in a good area of London. I would use this Hotel again." (108734044)

  This Hotel was very convenient for Paddington Tube station and for Central London attractions. They offer 10% discount on meals at the Italian Restaurant next Door, though we didn't try it.

  The morning receptionist was blunt to the point of rudeness. The breakfast room was so crowded we skipped our (included in the price) continental breakfast and went to the very decent Cafe next door. The bar is closed on Sundays, which we were not aware of until we arrived.

  Hotel was very central to my working area, staff were polite and pleasant.

  Hotel is shabby and rundown (although clean). Free wireless internet was not configured correctly so didn't work. Room had no plugs in bathroom sink or bath, and cistern ran all night. Walls very thin and could hear occupants of next room all night. Minimal breakfast served in bar area out of chipped crockery. Lift only goes to fourth floor although five floors of rooms.

  "Stayed here because it was difficult to find a room at the last minute at New Year, and the price was right. Hotel's location is very convenient, and staff are friendly, but the room itself was pretty bad. When I arrived someone was complaining that nothing in his room worked and that he wanted a partial refund. Staff were unwilling or unable to refund him." (107567899)

  Staff were friendly and efficient, check-in process was easy. Hotel is very conveniently located near Paddington Station (and thus the Heathrow Express), as well as several pubs and eateries. Free WiFi reached top floor just fine. Never had a problem with reception. Hotel staff were always present, even at the wee hours of the morning and the hallways are all monitored via CCTV from the lobby, although it's unclear that anybody is actually watching the TVs.

  The lock on room was very poor (and there was no deadlock). I did not feel particularly secure while sleeping, nor leaving my belongings in the room while I was gone. Shower would not support shower head (i.e. I had to hold up the shower head myself to take a shower) and water sometimes took more than 5 minutes to become tolerably warm. There was no remote control for the television (but the TV worked fine). Curtains were in dire need of cleaning (a previous occupant appeared to have used it as a handkerchief). Walls were poorly insulated, so sound traveled very easily from hall and adjacent rooms. There was no soap in the bathroom. Sometimes toilet would not flush, and it required pressing the lever many times before it would work.

  No smoking facillities. No place indoors for smoking. You cannot enjoy your meal without going on the cold streets to smoke.

  Just convenient

  reception very poor - room, concret broken from wall - breakfast, no service and staff did not understand english - overall accommondation, no better than a hostel - should not be 3star accommodation.

  uuummmm. the staff were good people but seemed really laxy dazy. Everything in their own time.

  bar wasnt open and not owned by hotel. seemed a little tacky. building work ongoing, in need of updating. you get what you pay for.

  Booking is easy through the web.

  Was given a room not yet cleaned... everything in disarray and we have to leave and come back in order for their staff to prepare it for us. There was no remote for the TV...need to get this from the reception... toilet wont flush properly..
