  Maywood house is a beautifully restored Regency House. The accomodation is grand but at the same time very homely. We had a wonderful stay and would definately recomend to others.

  Excellent small hotel if you are looking for just a room. The decor was very good and the room I was in was very spacious with a wonderful view.

  Slightly hard to find, the sign off the main road would be a little bigger as I drove past it the first time.

  Nice, quiet hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Free internet is a big bonus. Also, the breakfasts were great.

  "this was our wedding night and all i can say was i am glad the rest of the honeymoon got better. i would not stay again or recommend Maywood House despite the room being of a very high standard. breakfast - condsidering how expensive the overall stay was - was very poor. we could only choose 1 type of breakfast. You get more choice and better service at a Premier Travel Inn !!" (97010388)

  room was lovely and well equiped.

  not told of dining room at check in so thought b/fast was going to be in the room. when we went to check out we were then showed dining room.luckily we still had time to have breakfast. proprietor was not particularly welcoming.

  "Well worth the money with nice personal touches such as fruit, biscuits etc but for a 5 star rating, should not have to comment on batteries etc. Breakfast choice strange in that no cereal if you choose a fulll breakfast ???? and at an extra " (107276056)

  Well presented, well equipped and had some very good finishing touches

  Batteries in TV Remote weak and not effective. Bed matress had a definate V so that you rolled to the centre. No bedside table on one side for personal effects (watch/ glasses etc, had to empty a drawer and use it in lieu !

  The picture on the web didn't capture the beauty of the gardens or the magnificent of the property. I stayed in the mouline rouge room which was just the right size for one person.

  Room was excellent and the bed extremely comfortable.

  No bar or evening dining room

  "We were extremely well looked after from the moment we booked the hotel, nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to a larger room because the hotel was quiet that evening. Possibly the cleanest hotel i've seen for a while, and lovely gardens." (97373971)

  "What a gem. Apparently originally constructed in the 1860's as what I would guess was a private residence, it has been excellently renovated in the spirit of the original. With the result that it has a beautiful interior including a conservatory and garden. It seems to be a family business with an exceptionally attentive staff. You'll need a GPS or a local taxi to find it, but because it is tucked away you won't hear traffic noise." (97953318)

  "Possibly one of the best Bed and Breakfast Hotels I have stayed in over the 25 years I have been travelling. Everything was 5* including the breakfast. The attention to detail was supberb." (97383087)

  clean, high quality furnishings. Lots of extras in the room which were gratis.
