  Very average room, old fashioned decoration, polycotton sheets, man-made fibre duvet, only 1 towel and cup for 2 people staying, owner not available at check-in and had to wait 5 mins outside hotel, breakfast v poor - cereal & toast. Appalling value for money - would not stay there again. Not recommended.

  "Reasonably priced and satisfactory for our purpose as we were attending a hosp[ital appointment at Parkway hospital,Solihull" (107697829)

  Very clean everywhere

  No heat in the shower/wc -very cold Mattress very uncomfortable, rather lumpy only one bedside lamp & central heating radiator not working but electric heater was provided which was satisfactory.

  Excellent presentation - extremely good value for money

  Could have done with a bedside light and a bit of education on the heating system - when I found out how to work it it was top-notch!

  The owner has great plans for this hotel, very nice welcome and rooms clean and tidy included is a mini bar with good prices

  Shower very weak , American express not taken as advertised

  Very remote and the rail system was non existent. We had to use a taxi to and from the NE and even to the nearest restaurant. Should be noted that a car is needed if staying at this guest house.

  the little bathroom was pretty cold, but that's the only little thing.

  Our accommodation was well presented and all our needs catered for during our over night stay.The location and informal hospitality was second to none.

  "We booked the suite although there was only the two of us hoping that decent armchairs would be provided for sitting in the evening. The chairs provided were just about adequate but hardly cormfortable, and only two were provided but there were four beds in the suite. The location was very good but I was aware of this having worked close to the hotel some fifty years ago. The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable and the service good." (97629376)

  very clean, colour coordinated

  Tv channels did not adhere to the stated channels in the welcoming file, tv reception ensured difficulties with watching certain channels

  "Generous continental breakfast served in room. Well stocked mini bar with an honesty payement system which meant that there was no bill to settle personally if you wished to leave early morning. No bath in room though adequate shower. Overall great accommodation. Would definately stay again." (99186424)

  Pleasant, but unobtrusive owners. Excellent location for NEC. Room very clean and in good decorative order.

  Good location. Nice setting. Good facilities

  Room small. Walls a little thin. Noise from motorway audible.
