  "We found this accomodation to be very authentic and the decor provides a traditional Italian feel. Our room was over-looking a small street cafe and a narrow road which was rather noisey with traffic in the morning(but this didn't bother us too much). There are aspects that make 'Dolce Vita' feel more of a two star hotel(no air con) but there are other areas that can make up for these eg. there is a communal kitchen if you wish to make tea/coffee or cook a meal and also the owner is extremely helpful and pleasant at all times (however he manages a few other hotels in Lucca and is not situated in the hotel at anytime - you need to phone his mobile if you want to check-in or speak to him). Overall, this is a decent hotel for the price and I would be surprised if you could find anything better in Lucca with the same budget. We enjoyed our stay." (99625976)

  The location of the hotel is superb. It's position inside the walls is definetly a major plus point.

  We stayed for four nights and during this time, no maid/cleaner had visited our room to refresh towels or linen.
