Good 'pubby' pub, great beer, very good food (see chalkboard menus), good room, attractive location, good breakfast, good guv & staff.
The internet reservation had not reached the pub, so my booking was only really made when I phoned to ask about a table for dinner. Short window for breakfast, but the 09:00-09:30 suited our plans.

The Neeld Arms circa 1700's is a traditional village pub located in quiet typical Wiltshire village. The beer is kept well and the food was very good and a hearty full english breakfast provided. Room No. 1 with four-poster bed was comfortable.
Some attention to accumulation of dust under bed.

We had a wonderfull weekend away, great location - within driving distance of lots of local attractions aswell as Bath and Bristol. The food was delicious and the room very comfortable. Charlie is an excellent host and the pub was lively and welcoming on Saturday night. When researching this inn/hotel the only negative comment I could find was that the car park was too small. Although I can see this person's point, we never had any trouble parking.

Very friendly staff, great food and a lovely comfortable room in a beautiful village.
Noise a bit intrusive from the bar below, although I did want an earlier night and it was a pub, so I should have expected that!

Very lively pub with extremely good home cooked food, lovely old building and very picturesque village.
Hotel owner showed no interest in us at all. He was too busy in the pub. We didn't feel well welcomed. Toilet was not completely clean. Our overall impression was that it was overpriced for a room over a pub.

- friendly atmosphere - great food/wine - great staff
- returned back late one night (after the pub had closed) and had to call ahead for the fire escape to be left open and our key to be left out so we could get into the room.

Very pleasant landlord who made time to chat to guests.Excellent dinner menu and good foodand we arrived pretty late. Great choice for breakfast. Very comfortable bed in a warm cosy room. Good car park.
Meant to mention that one of the bedside lights in my room wasn't working. Could do with a bit more lighting in the breakfast room as it was difficult to read the newspaper.

warm welcome, relaxed environment, nice and tastefully decorated lovely spacious room, comfy bed, privacy respected, super dinner and cooked breakfast to order.
slight marks on sheet underneath pillow, no hairdryer (although was provided with one when asked - seems a previous guest had taken it), kettle but no cup and no tea/coffee provided. I did mention these points at the time - they were not really a problem. could do with a lick of paint in the bathroom - very minor point.

Great find and perfect for an overnight stay in this beautiful part of the world. Lovely room, great food, decent wine list and lively locals!
Checking out was rather labourious and we were in a rush to get to a christening.

However I cannot praise the owners for their friendliness enough." (97550094)
