  "We found the staff very polite. The room was adequate, but we were not told how to get the lights to work using the key card. After parking the car, my husband had a frustrating time just trying to get back into the hotel from the garage. We were disappointed to find that there was a charge for Internet as well as a refundable deposit on the Internet cord at the front desk. Meals were pricey, and we were shocked to find that even though the dinner bill said that service was included in the price, there was a TIP line on the bill which our waiter said we could use to add some extra if we wanted! The breakfast buffet was okay (17 euros per person), although not refreshed very often, but it closed at 10:15 instead of 11:00 as advertised. Although it was clean, I don't think we would stay there again." (107634320)

  Extra bed was in the room as requested for our daughter; A few staff members spoke some English; Dining room in the hotel was convenient

  Our room key cards did not work and had to be re-programmed; we were not told how to use the card to get the room lights to work, and we spent about 20 minutes trying to figure it out; When my husband parked the car in the garage, he had a terrible time getting back into the hotel (apparently the locks had been changed and his room card would not work in the garage); There was an extra charge for Internet usage (this was the only hotel we'd stayed in that didn't provide complimentary Internet); Dinner was very expensive, and when we asked why there was a line for TIP on the bill, while it also stated that Service was included in the price, the waiter told my daughter (who speaks fairly fluent French) that we could add some extra on the TIP line if we wanted to!!!; We paid 17 euros per person for the buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant, which we were told went until 11:00 a.m., but at 10:15 we were told by the waitstaff that they were closing the buffet now and we should get whatever else we wanted right away -- they also did not refresh the scrambled eggs and other items that were running out; The elevator to other levels of the garage did not function, so we had to lug our suitcases down the very narrow circular car ramp in the garage 2 levels when we left; We left a note for the housekeeper (in French) to please leave a duvet for my daughter's bed, because the blanket wasn't keeping her warm, but instead of giving her a duvet, they left her 2 extra blankets.

  Very quiet.

  Breakfast is just of an average level. Should be with better quality oroducts.

  "The hotel is situated in Bougival, it is some distance from Versailles, there are one or two very expensive but lacklustre restaurants within walking distance, nothing else, no Metro station, you have to drive. Several members of staff at reception were very helpful but at least one of them was anything but helpful. Much the same in the bar, very good (very expensive drinks)sometimes but awful occasionally, bar staff would regularly walk behind the bar, pick up the telephone to dial out, complete their call then disappear again ignoring everybody stood at the bar, when I spoke to a barman on one occasion about this my change was thrown on to the counter at the end of the transaction. Excellent restaurant staff." (97902573)

  Clean, roomy hotel with parking. Excellent, varied breakfast choice, excellent service in the restaurant.

  Isolated, expensive, patchy service
