The lush Valley of Noordhoek houses Sacred Mountain Lodge, a premise steeped in a history that holds many secrets of the Valley's past. The lodge offers a choice of accommodation and methods of relaxation, including a private wellness spa, equestrian trails & beach rides, swimming pool set in a fairy like dell, private bar, and home-cooked meals.

The lodge radiates a peaceful rural charm of a bygone era and is decorated with select country furniture, chandeliers, fresh cotton linen, a welcome fireplace and overall comfort appeal, all tucked beneath the whispering oaks of a garden sanctuary.

Sacred Mountain Lodge took its name from the most hallowed symbol of Cape Town - Table Mountain. Sacred Mountain Lodge has an enviable position surrounded by the peaks of Table Mountain National Park on three sides and the ocean to the front. Approaching from Chapman's Peak Drive, the views and sunsets across the waters from Hout Bay to Kommetjie are nothing short of spectacular!

The inspiration for naming our beautiful guest house 'Sacred Mountain Lodge' came from the book 'Table Mountain to Cape Point' by Carrie Hampton, where in her 'Sacred Mountain' chapter she says; "Table Mountain is known as the most potent symbol of Africa, representing freedom in every sense of the word, and has been likened to a fortress, a sleeping goddess, a stairway to heaven, a guardian of the city, a warrior and watcher of the south, considered sacred for the living forces at work behind nature."

Acorn Cottage is a delightfully warm and welcoming location which can accommodate between 2-4 people. It is situated next to Oak Tree Cottage, beneath the 100 year old oak trees and overlooking a tranquil forest garden. Acorn’s interior is reminiscent of a splendid bygone era, with a queen- sized bed and en-suite shower, leading through to a separate lounge with luxury sleeper couch and DSTV.

A 2-bedroom, luxury cottage, set in a private and tranquil garden. An open plan living area is flanked by en-suite bedrooms on either side. The fully equipped kitchen has stainless-steel appliances, including gas hob and electric oven, and solid oregan counter top. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and its own sitting area and DSTV. The second twin bedroom is screened off from the open plan living area and luxury sleeper-couch lounge with DSTV. Both bathrooms offer large glass and slate showers, and both bedrooms lead out to the garden with slate tiled patio, complete with barbecue and teak outdoor furnishings. We also serve special evening meals of the day, advance orders to be placed. Some of South Africa's award winning restaurants grace the South Peninsula, within close proximity to the Lodge, so whether you choose to enjoy the freshest seafood on the rocks of False Bay, or Haute Cuisine in the Cape Wine lands, any restaurant reservation is at our fingertips. There are recommended restaurants within walking distance of Sacred Mountain Lodge. Treat your partner to a romantic picnic atop Chapman's Peak, or taking in the sunset on Noordhoek beach, both only a couple of minutes drive from the lodge. We will fill a picnic hamper with select delicacies and wine. For a choice of picnic cuisine, we can surprise you, or alternatively advance orders may be placed with your choice of food selection. Alternative picnic venues, all in close proximity or further a field can also be recommended.

Noordhoek is the ideal location from which to explore the Cape Peninsula, minutes away from superb beaches, awe inspiring mountain drives including Chapman's Peak and Ou Kaapse Weg, and scenic wine routes beginning with the oldest and boldest Constantia Wine lands. The area around the lodge offers an immense choice of activities to venture in: try whale watching, or go seek thrills by cage diving with the Great White Shark, or even abseiling off Chapman’s Peak. Other possible activities vary from horseback riding on a beach to bird watching in the Noordhoek Wetlands and golfing in 3 of the best courses in the Cape Town area (within 15 minutes drive of the lodge) to taking a bicycle ride to discover the amazing vistas the area offers.

We are accessible either over Chapman's Peak (M6), or over Ou Kaapse Weg (M64). From the airport: - Take N2 direction Cape Town, turn left onto the M3. - At the end of M3 you will reach a T-junction set of traffic lights, turn right onto M42, then turn left onto M64 (Ou Kaapse Weg). -Turn right into Silvermine Road (Noordhoek turn off). - Upon reaching the T-Junction, turn right onto the M6. - After 500 meters, turn left into Avondrust Circle. - Drive 400 meters (drive straight missing right hairpin bend into Avondrust Lane), and you will see our sign on the right hand side.
