Very basic hotel
online booking mentioned £ 45.95 but on arriving at the hotel the receceptionist said that the charges will be £ 50.95 if I was paying by card & £45.95 if I was paying by cash.I didnt have much cash so I had to pay £6 extra.Imagine this is one of London's hotels.

This caused us a great feal of inconvenience as we had travelled for the best part of two hours on public transport and were looking forward to showering and changing before attending our friend's 50th Birthday party. In the end we could not find another hotel in the area with a room for the night, so had to leave the party early to allow us sufficient time to get home by public transport." (108511262)
There were none !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As soon as we entered the room we noticed an unpleasant odour to it. The duvet covers were stained. The bed sheets were torn. The wardrobe was inadequate for a family of 4. The bedside table had the front panel hanging off the drawer. We went to the Receptionist and informed them that we were unhappy with the room and asked for an alternative room. They were unable or unwilling to accommodate our request. So we had no other option but to leave and try to find suitable accommodation.

Very cheap
Bedroom was tiny and cold. Couldn't put heating on. Shower was only lukeworm. No glass or cup in the room so I couln't even have a drink of water. Bed looked broken. Thankfully I was tired so I slept OK.

Bathroom in the room and not to share. Not noisy.
After asking a bathroom cleanliness, the staff only changed the towels but didn't clean the bathroom. A tv with just 4 channels. A too small double bed for 2 people.

Clean bed linen. Willingness of one member of staff to fetch cups of tea and juice to our room and to try to get a picture on the TV. Quiet room.
Problems finding entrance which is up a side road and down a snicketway. Ugly entrance yard. Drawers all seriously broken and unusable. TV aerial useless and despite attempts by one staff member the pictue remained distorted. No information details about the hotel in the room, so unclear if tea and coffee free etc. No phone in the room so had to walk down from third floor to ground floor each time we wished to communicate with staff at front desk. Power shower was working but the nozzle fell on me twice during a short shower. 1 glass of orange was covered in speckles of green, so not able to be enjoyed at all. Price on internet was £47 but on arrival was informed that the price was £52 unless I could pay cash. Paid with Mastercard. Did not want to walk around looking for ATM at 9pm.

Good location, small but clean room, helpful staff, off street free parking
Room overlooked petrol station forecourt (but was not disturbed by noise and it was convenient in the morning for coffee and newspapers) Tiny but functional bathroom.

Free parking (but very limited in number); windows that open; fan in room.
No lifts, no coffee and tea facilities in room, shower drain blocked, room very dusty! The street the hotel was on was very noisy, with police sirens all night.

We were always made to feel welcome when we returned. The service at breakfast was very efficient if a bit haphazzard. Now I know what is behind the entrance I would go there again." (107528559)
Staff were pleasant, courteous and helpful. Bedlinen clean and fresh. Although the breakfast was the same every day it was very good and you certainly wouldn't come away hungry. Coffee lovely!
No towels supplied. Need to be told that in advance. We had to borrow off relatives. Headboard of bed seemed to be water stained. Tablecloths could do with being changed more often. Sign would need to be moved off derelict building on Tudor St - gives a very bad first impression. Made us very apprehensive.

I asked for a breakfast that the server did not have experience of cooking previously.(poached eggs) I told her how to do it and it was cooked perfectly.I thought this was more than accomodating.
I would have liked to see the table laid for breakfast with the places set, and coffee served at the table, it looks more welcoming as you enter the dining room

Difficult to find , confusion with bookings ,no lift , very small room stinking of smoke despite requesting non- smoking room , broken fixtures and fittings .No breakfast available and an argument about booking only to find later that breakfast was only an egg toastie .We had booked a special bed and breakfast deal. Was not offered apology or cash back .

Hotel is quite well situated for the public transportation, personnel was really kind and helpful. Provided parking space for our car at no cost.
very old furniture, thorn and broken at some parts, quite a lot of dust. The room vas a way too small for four persons. One night was very noisy because of other guests coming really late and closing doors loudly.

The beds were really clean, it was fair for the price we paid. The staff were really nice and friendly, and took all our luggage upstairs for us.
There was no cupboard to hang clothes. Not keen on the area.

La camera non è mai stata pulita durante i 5 giorni del soggiorno; nella sala da pranzo (breakfast)le tovaglie, già sporche, non sono mai state sostituite. Moltissimo rumore durante la notte.
