Was very close to the venue I was attending.
Staff were almost incoherent on the telephone and could not direct me to the hotel from one street away (the postcode is not the same place as the hotel). There are no signs to the carpark and staff were not able to direct me there over the telephone. The room was exceptionally warm and windowless and very noisy.

The hotel is undergoing extensive maintenance and refurbishment whilst staying open. The staff were as helpful as they could be under the circumstances. Car parking is secure and free
The first room I was offered (407)was a nice size but had a large damp patch on the ceiling, no shampoo, soap or plug to keep water in the wash basin and also a very dirty carpet. Initially I was told I could not be moved as the hotel was full but later I was moved to another room (513)which was perfect apart from a cracked washbasin

Peckham Lodge, London recensioni"The hotel seems to be favoured by young backpackers and is of a standard commensurate with its cheap price. It is not the place for a luxurious treat but was ideal as a basic stopover whilst visiting our daughter." (108417850)
Out daughter studies at Camberwell College of Art and this hotel is ideally located when visiting her. The car parking is limited but is very secure with electric gates. Our room was very basic but reasonably clean.
The continental breakfast was very poor - frosties and toast. Had to wait for a cup to be cleaned for a coffee and never had a fruit juice as no clean glasses were put out. Not enough seats for everyone and had to share a table with several other people. The staff did not speak English. Hotel is in need of a refurb.

Spacious clean rooms with quality fittings/decor. Excellent ensuite facilities with plentiful and instant hot water. Free parking. We found staff very helpful. Room was quiet. Bus stop directly outside hotel. Full breakfast.
Shower cubicle could do with shelf being fitted to avoid mature people having to bend down. Quite a long walk to rear-most rooms but advantage is quietness. No bar facilities.

Peckham Lodge, London recensioni"Enjoyable. It is a nice hotel and from the outside it looks like a government building. My friend who lives in Camberwell had passed the hotel on many ocassions and also thought it was a government building. It is in a good location so with some refurbishment they should be able to get more customers. I must admit I was slightly concern becasue the reviews were rather negative. I would rate it 8 out of 10. " (108490264)
THe room was small but all facilities within the room were great.
No remote for the TV. Breakfast was limited as it was only cornflakes and toast with tea and juices. Parking was limited with only 6 - 8 car spaces available. There was one awkward moment when I was trying to enter the car park after dining out with my friend. The receptionist misheard the number I quoted over the tannoy. I was sober as I was driving! Therefore I had to leave the car at the entrance and go to the reception area to prove I was indeed a customer. They should have been able to work out that I was booked in from my name.

Especially the quality of the ensuite shower room as well as the modern tv with freeview and the fact that it had air conditioning (which was very much appreciated considering how hot it had been!). In fact the room itself was probably of higher quality than that of a much more expensive hotel. The decor in the corridors left a lot to be desired and with my room being in the basement it almost felt like I was entering the inner workings of the hotel and living in the boiler room! I was aware however that renovations were currently taking place and I think once these are complete, this issue will have been addressed." (108772757)
Double ensuite room was exceptional quality. Especially the ensuite shower room, provision of air conditioning and modern tv with freeview. Amazing value for the price.
Corridor decor was poor particularly in the basement. With a little work it could be spectactular.

Stuff were nice to us, allways helpful. Good connection to city center.
Problems with water in shower - was too! hot or cold, nothing in between. Breakfast was the same every morning.

Booking and reservation was very fanstastic
The hotel needs to improve on cleanliness, if they would like to have clients staying longer than one day. The hotel needs proper security as the neighbourhood is insecure.

Good value for money and a location we needed. First night we had problem with the showe(water did not drain well out) and when we said about it it was dealt with promptly. Parking very good to have.
No hand towel in the bathroom, when i asked for one I was told I could not have one. Only one pillow per person, needed more. Poor reception on some of the tv channels, like ITV.

Very happy with the Hotel, the staff very friendly. Especially the security guy named Ali. I will recommend the hotel to my friends back in Africa.
More singage to rooms will be better but understand that there is an imporvement going on.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Booking online was no hassle, and our reservation was easily confirmed upon arrival. Breakfast opens up early, which is nice for people who have to travel again in the morning.
The glasses and cups in our room was not clean. There was only one towel in the double room. One of the shower panes were broken in the shared bathrooms. Whilst watching television, the sound muted for random periods of time and the screen was jumpy. The lodge was incredibly warm, and that made it difficult to sleep.

There are current renovations going on, hopefully the overall image will be greatly improved.
There was confusion at check in desk and my booked room was not available the first night and had to be put in an alternative room after refusing to be transfered to another hotel. I was dealt with in an unprofessional manner the first time but things got much better the following day.Breakfast lounge need new furniture.
