  "Disappointing. The village itself is rather characterless and because we didn't much fancy very expensive cheese on toast, meant driving into Boulogne for dinner. Not a great distance, but not the relaxing evening we had envisaged." (108848300)

  Friendly people - the wife is English. Satellite t.v. in bar meant we could watch English football over a drink. Comfortable beds.

  Very small room, rather over priced. Very limited choice of food; only one menu - 18 euros. This offered only 2 dishes (salmon and steak) which weren't "Welsh", which is basically cheese on toast. Only one small towel each.

  Very friendly management and excellent food (EVENING MEAL)

  Bedroom basic. Very steep stairs for carying luggage. No hospitality tray in room

  "pleasant" (108801254)

  staff very pleasant, nice family feel even though they looked a bit scruffy

  a chair of sort would be nice in the room, it is bit difficult for older people to sit on the bed to relax

  "Our stay at the Metropole was a pleasent experience, everyone was friendly and helpful. The hotel was an ideal location for our break and only a short distance from a very nice beach (Hardelot). Hopefully we will get the chance to visit again." (108929795)

  "the hotel overall was very good the hotel itself was very clean and comfortable the bedrooms were clean and comfortable although they were a bit dated needed modernising overall a nice place to stay woild definately stay again" (107899762)

  Because of the steep stairs, access to the bedrooms on the first floor was diificult for us and probably for other elderly people with knee problems. We were also disappointed with our bedroom - we thought it was rather spartan. The menu was rather disappointing - too little choice.
