room was excellent as was the hotel layout allover. the staff were all friendly and helpful
menu was expensive and limited for us anyway as we only eat chicken or fish meals .

Food service was extremely slow as there appeared to be only about 6 other tables. We were informed as we ordered that at least 6 items were not available on the menu and this radically restricted what we really required.

lovely comfortable bad and room decor. location was perfect for what we needed and staff, hotel and bar areas very clean and welcoming.
only one bath sheet in the bath room although a double room.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Secure parking.
After reading the menu on the web site and finding 2 different menus in the room, we asked reception to book a table for 6 people. On arriving in the restaurant, they had no table booked. We waited 10 minutes and they set a table for us. When the menu came it was only one version and a much smaller choice. Four of the party ordered the deli and fusion boards only to be told they were"off". It was a new menu and a few other things were also "off" as it was on a Monday the restaurant had their deliveries and it was only Saturday !! By now the choice was severley limited. We chose a least 2 bottles of wine which again were "off" as the menu was new and they were not in stock yet. We asked to see the manager only to be told that he was "off" for the weekend. By now there was a huge cloud over the evening and people were resigned to eating food that was not really their first choice. As this was a bank holiday weekend surely the menus should have been right. The breakfast was good but the staff could not cope with the amount of guests that were there.

Nice room ambience; comfortable chairs, good work area, comfortable bed with enough pillows. Breakfast was fair-to-good - I've certainly had a lot worse ...
My room overlooked a courtyard where people were drinking outside. The windows onto the courtyard were not well-soundproofed and let too much noise in (fortunately the people drinking were not excessively boisterous :-)). The room was not fully serviced every day - on some days the bin was not emptied in the room, for example.

Nice bar, spacious hotel, attractive bathroom, quiet and peaceful stay.
Bathroom bin had not been emptied and contained sanitary products from the room's previous occupant, shower temperamental, floor needed hovering, bulbs missing in some light fittings.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, rooms were good.
The manager was very rude, the hotel had a 60th birthday and wedding, we were told very rudely not to sit where the functions were taking place and told we couldn't sit in the bar area due to the fact that we had a 9 week old baby who was sleeping. We were not informed that we could not order food when we booked the hotel due to the fact that there was a wedding taking place in the restaurant so we went elsewhere. When i questioned this with the manager afterwards i was informed that the bar staff got it wrong and we could have in fact eaten at the restaurant. So all in all not the best experience!

very difficult to get room lighting to work, very modern but please make lights that just switch on, i never did work out how bedside lights work, other lights came on if you put main switches in off position, glad i did not arrive in the dark

everything apart from checking in although once that was sorted it was all fine
when we checked in and gave our booking reference we were told this wasn't one of yours yet it was one that was given to us when we booked.

Pleasantly surprised upon arrival, as from the picture thought we were staying in a room above above. When I arrived the staff were really friendly & helpful and our room was lovely. Would definitely stay there again.

th bathroom was realy nice and spacious and the hotel felt very modern

Comfortable and clean
Bath room needs to be redesigned. Door jammed against wash hand basin, so you had to push hard to open the bathroom door.

Altogether a very pleasantly suprising nights stay at what is a very local hotel to where we live. we will stay here again." (99236446)
massive room, well decorated and clean
very hard to regulate room temperature despite air con unit.this appears to be a common problem in many hotels we have stayed in.No lift to get to third floor with bags. The bathroom cosmetics had not been restocked - the hair shampoo had been used.

The bedroom blocks are separate from the bars and function room and therefore minimise noise disturbance.
Pillows were too hard. The bed was made with sheets and blankets - I prefer a duvet. There was no plug in the bathroom basin.
