Hôtel Victoria, Calais recensioni"The hotel was clean, and the room was well laid out as was the hotel in general. This is NOT a 5-star hotel, but it is a clean, functional hotel in which to rest. There were good locks on the room doors, and the sleeping was easy. The decor is quite old, but it is clean. Not a place to stay if you are looking for a 5 star hotel experience, but a good place to sleep." (108095184)

Il y avait, à la plus grande joie des enfants, la télévision dans les chambres ce qui n'était pas précisé, il me semble. Hôtel correspondant à ce que j'en avait lu : propreté et très bon rapport qualité prix. Bonne situation de cet hôtel. Enfin très grande facilité pour se garer alors que nous pensions avoir des difficultés car il était dit que l'hôtel n'avait pas de parking, ce qui nous a un peu inquiétés." (97438184)

The instructions on how to find the hotel were useless and but for 2 French boys taking us through the maze of steets we would never have found it. The district was very off putting and we had to take the bikes off the cars and put them in the hotel hallway,we had to park the cars several streets away, which was rather worrying." (99697433)
The manager spoke English and was friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean, all breakfasts were served in bedrooms.
The hotel wasn't in a nice area and cars had to be parked on the street. The rooms required decorating and painting.

Breakfast here is punctual and well-served on a tray in the bedroom, which is fine if you want this, but we would have liked to have known in advance that the hotel had no breakfast room." (99673407)
The hotel is quiet, very central, has good parking in the adjoining street and is excellent value for money.
There was no tea and coffee available in the room, the room was rather dark and had an ugly view of an internal wall and the window wouldn't shut properly. Only one glass and one bedside table were provided for a double room!

Close to a selection of bars and restaurants, but not noisy. hotelier friendly and helpful, our problem was it not having tea and coffee facilities, as with having young baby required boiled water to make bottles however hotelier was obliging. Hôtel Victoria, Calais recensioni"All in all a pleasant stay. The hotel is down a side street just off the main square. The room was clean, quiet and warm. Yes the decor is tired but the staff are friendly. The breakfast is served in your room and was a typical continental breakfast, hot chocolate (or tea or coffee) with some nice fresh french stick, cheese, 3 diferent jams, honey and orange juice. It was enough to set you up for the morning. Bath with hand shower and no shower curtain. Plenty of hot water. Towels provided, but take your own if you like big fluffy ones." (2842407)

Hôtel Victoria, Calais recensioni"I was very happy with the accomodation, it was basic without bar and dining room but I preferred it like that, nice and quiet, the continental breakfast was excellant, it was very near to shops and restuarants, bars etc. It was a family run hotel, a nice traditional old building which I liked, and felt safe there. I would definetly go back there again, it was very cheap in price. I was also pleased about the confirmation of the booking, it was virtually straight away." (2592243)
It was a nice cosy room with adequate bathroom and very clean, room service for breakfast in the morning was excellent,it was a nice family run hotel nice and quiet, and you could come and go as you please,we only stayed a couple of nights, but we enjoyed and would come back again, very central to town.
Maybe shower curtain in the bath.

il y avait trois lits dans la chambre et nous aurions apprécié de pouvoir y installer un troisième adulte... ce qui était interdit (réservé à un enfant)

Going back into the hotel to ask if they could phone any garage for us, within 30 minutes a recovery vehicle arrived and fixed the car. Highly recommended!" (2881282)
It was local to bars and restaurants, clean and the staff were efficient.
Our friends said that their room had a smoker/smokers before them, and the smell of smoke lingered -ours was o.k. I do not know if we had a choice,it would not deter us from staying there again, but would ask next time if we had a choice of a non-smoking room, but there was no smoking in the public areas.
