Cottage Hôtel, Calais recensioni"Good food in the restaurant, comfy rooms with all facilties the brits expect.Have stayed in the usual budget hotels with minimal room facilities, this hotel was much more superior that those and the staff are exceptional at making guests feel welcome especially after we had driven for 8hours and did not know what to expect on our arrival. A very pleasant stay." (107316656)
The hotel is very clean with staff who are very welcoming. The booking in process was very quick, the rooms comfortable and it was great to have a the facilities to make a nice cup of tea, will stay here again and would strongly recommend this hotel to others.

We were welcomed as valued guests (we have stayed here many times over past 10 years). We were expected and our rooms were ready and well-prepared. The standard of cleanliness is excellent.
Both rooms had previously been used by smokers and room 102 especially was bad. I had taken air freshener and sprayed the soft furnishings to our satisfaction.

The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant wich was very good value for money.
The only downside of the meal was no vegetarian option for the main course, but saying that the chef made a very good omelette on request. also, the carpet in the main hallways looks a bit tatty but cannot fault it for cleanliness.

Rooms fine, booking easy, parking and access good
Food continues to disappoint - main course at dinner was swiiming in water and inedible. Wouldn't eat here again

The food was excellent - buffet choice for starter and dessert, both of which were extremely good. The breakfast was also excellent with a wide range of things to choose from. The room was basic but everything we needed for a one night stay.

Hav stayed before ,close to motorway and town ,very clean and welcomng.
Group of 'british' hooray henrys leaving at 6.00am made the most dreadful noise outside Whilst loading their bikes on top of their Audi (what else would one expect?)Not the fault of the hotel though really!

Cheap,convienent loaction to tunnel, clean
we could hear a buzzing noise from the lights in the corridor in the First room we stayed in at the end of the hall. We asked to be moved, which we were but I would not describe it as graciously! shower head would stay up on the pole.

Friendly, helpful staff. Close to Eurotunnel terminal and autoroute. Good menu choices in the restaurant.
Notices about removing everything from cars a little disconcerting but no problems - car park is fenced and covered by CCTV.

The hotel was in a great location for the Eurotunnel and also had a well lit car park so you knew your car packed with everything is safe enough. We had a good sleep on a comfy bed so it was all good after a long journey.
The only bad thing we can report on was the restaurant staff. The restaurant wasnt busy but after ordering our meal we waited around 20 mins, which is fine but we never received any drinks we had ordered or any side orders, after going up to the bar to tell the member of staff there was no apology and it seemed we were putting that member of staff out for pointing out that we had no wine or soft drinks with our meal!

Friendly staff, easy access for Calais port and the motorway network. Generally quiet, reasonable free parking. Reasonable buffet breakfast. Rooms small but reasonably clean.
Decor beginning to show it's age, would benefit from a refurb. Example, the carpets in the common areas are becoming quite threadbare, the exterior is becoming tatty.

Nice hotel, basic but clean and friendly staff, good value for money breakfast. We atay at this hotel twice a year when we do an overnight trip to Citi-Europe.
Hotel tried to charge for drinks we had not had on check-out, though to be fair no problem and was soon sorted.

Price/quality ratio for food. Some staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Inadequate facilities for a baby (for instance, restaurant highchair was unsuitable for a small child).
