Overall appearance of hotel, cleanliness, breakfast was 1st class
not really any bad points except maybe the interior needs to be dragged into the 21st century

Waterford Lodge, Highcliffe-on-Sea recensioni"Overpriced for shabby, dated accomodation. Bathroom was very worn and had been badly patched up. Greeting by the staff at breakfast was not at all welcoming and made us feel as if we were inconveniencing them. Breakfast order was incorrect but no apology was given. The middle aged /elderly man serving was rude and arrogant. All this for £109 a night.....:(" (107463912)
Shabby dated room, Pink bathroom suite that leaked. Pink toilet with white toilet seat. Staff very rude and unhelpful at breakfast.

I found the experience good as I knew I could use room service if I didn't feel up to dining alone. The staff were friendly but unabtrucive, enabling me to find my way without feeling pressured into anything.The room was comfortable and reflected a homely environment which eased the stress of being alone for the first time. Overall I would recommend the hotel and the staff were very good. Polite, informative, professional and there if I needed them.The information on the website was very informative. It was clean, spacious and light. Room service was quick and the food was exellent.

Clean and spacious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good restaurant
Booked a twin room but was allocated a double, then a king size double, and after unpacking, was moved to another double because the room we were in was already booked.

Quietly situated. No traffic noise or noise from other guests.
The piles of washing along the corridor outside our room for lengthy periods of the day due to the laundry being in close proximity to our room.

Hotel staff very friendly. accomodation is situated in a good position. And was very clean.
the only minus was the light in the bathroom wasn't working properly and was waiting to be repaired, which was a bit of a pain.

We only stayed one night so we survived, but I would not want to stay here any longer than a weekend unless a proper shower was fitted, which is a shame as the hotel is otherwise excelllent and is in a superb location. The bed was a bit soft but was ok, otherwise you could say the food and drinks were a bit pricey if you were looking for a cheap stay but you do get value for your money. As you don't have to stay in the hotel to eat or drink this isn't a problem. Shame you can't use a shower elsewhere!" (3305095703)
The area is superb, excellent beach near the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and brakfast was very nice.
The shower!!!! Apart from that the bed was a bit worn.

In choosing a hotel with a restaurant, the objective is to be able to relax in the evening over a pleasant meal. A successful evening requires a good atmosphere and friendly, cheerful staff, as well as good food. This hotel lacked the former two, so for our second night we got in the car and drove into Christchurch for an altogether better evening than the previous one." (3304939590)
Pleasant, reasonably spacious room. Short, easy walk to the sea and Christchurch harbour.
Lack of atmosphere in the dining room and a rigid view on 'the way we do things here'. The bedroom overlooked the extractor from the kitchen so there was a strong smell of cooking if we opened the window, which we had to do as the weather was very hot.

They were only too willing to suggest places of interest etc.,and went out of their way to help with any problems that could possibly arrise. The dining room unfortunately was not very big, and I presume the same could be said of the kitchen, hence evening dining was invariably a waiting game. When one did dine the food was of an exceptionally high standard, more than worth the wait. It is a small,friendly hotel, very comfortable and welcoming, but if you want a gym or swimming pool you won't find them here." (3304690158)
It was very comfortable, smart without being over grand, and always very clean
The only fault I could find with the hotel was the lack of disabled facilities. ie; ramps,lifts and toilets. Luckily we do not need these.

The hotel is very clean and the breakfast was nice. Parking is excellent. The gardens are excellent. Smokers beware, we found just one ash tray....outside in the garden!
The room was a superior room but we failed to see what was superior about it. It was hot to sleep in. The bathroom in our opinion could have benefitted with a re-furbishment. The cosy of the food is expensive, however there is a reasonable pub next door.

Large room with twin and single provided spacious environment for 2 people in the eves of building.Clean and well decorated.
Would have liked to have known bath only with shower head unit not full standing and self contained shower Unit but not major issue

Nice and quiet with no noise from other rooms even though the hotel was full on two of the nights
Dinner menu too pricey and overly fancy food. But plenty of good places to eat in Christchurch town centre.

Comfortable, clean room. Very relaxed atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Dining room of excellent service. Food was of a high quality. Could not fault anything about hotel or staff.

Only toiletries for one person, and not replenished. Dining room food too elaborate!
