Staff were very friendly and helpful, good breakfast choice. Has a car park, and near some pretty places. Comfortable beds.
Nasty D.I.Y decor,old fittings and although the place smelled strongly of air freshener the cleaning was perfunctory, towels & sheets were very clean but areas like around door handles obviously not cleaned for quite a while, shower mouldy. Shame as nice people.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. It was clean and fresh towels daily.
The decor is dated. The bedside lamp was defective. No soap in the shower or hand basin. TV was terestrial only- no digital viewing.

We are aware that it is only a 2* and therefore were not expecting luxury, but a clean room with working facilities is not too much to ask for. At £65 for the night (twin room) this hotel is very overpriced. We would not recommend this hotel to our friends. " (108579416)
The bed linen was clean.
There were dead coakroaches on the bathroom floor; the bath had a large crack down the outside panel and the toilet would only flush if the chain was pulled consistently eight or nine times; the window would not close properly so was left open all night. The pillows were made of foam so your head sank straight through them leaving me with a very stiff neck the following morning. At breakfast the next morning the tables were shodily laid with cutlery missing and there were no staff on hand so as we could order tea or coffee - a member of staff turned up about fifteen minutes after we had sat down, even though we were the only two people in the breakfast room. When we went to check out there was nobody on reception and there was no bell to alert a member of staff - in the end myself and my friend had to leave our room key on the desk.

Internet connection was awkward. Had to go to the lobby and get wired into the office system. Wouldn't have been very good if I had had a lot of work to do.

I found the hotel lovely and pleasant and would definately stay again, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast included in the price was varied and ample, lovely. the room was cosy and very comfortable. There is a shop a stones throw away, a hairdressers and a pub, as well as a fish and chip shop, everything you need is right next to this hotel, the pub just next door serves lovely meals at very good prices if you'd like a change from the hotel, but is also in a lovely peaceful 'village' area with lovely scenery.

This was the first time we had taken our dogs to a hotel. The hotel was friendly and easy for both us and the dogs. The breakfast was good, and we ate in the bar which was also good.
The room was adequate, although we would have preferred the bathroom to have a shower. The restaurant was closed due to lack of a chef.

there was 6 adults in our party and we agreed we couldn't have found any where better. we had an evening meal in the hotel and it was very good we thoroughly enjoyed it.

When booking, I requested a ground floor room or near a lift, I would have thought that this would give an indication of someone with walking difficulties! Had we been aware that there were 16 stairs down to the dining room, we would not have stayed!! We will not visit again. There are also steep stairs at the main entrance to the hotel or if one enters from the car park, you have 16 stairs to go up to the rooms!

floor was dirty tv was pracitcally obsolete and chanels were bog standard. the using of a code to enter the hotel after hours rather than a key was an inconvienece when drunk i had to spend and hour to get back to my car in town and find my code

Friendly, easy to find, adequate parking
Insufficient facilities for two suitcases in room. Bathroom had no shower and a very creaky door. "Double" room had two single beds pushed together. No dinner served on Sundays. Non-availability of any smoking rooms in hotel.

A very pleasant stay in this quiet hotel, near the centre of the town, near bus and railway station, good connection for visiting local events, staff were friendly, polite and helpful, excellent english breakfast. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

THE HOTEL WAS FRIENDLY AND WE WERE ABLE TO COME IN LATE WITHOUT A PROBLEM.
HARD PILLOWS, THE ROOM WAS VERY DATED AND COULD DO WITH UP DATING,THE TOILET SEAT TIPPED FORWARDS,THERE WAS NO WERE TO PUT OUR SPONGE BAG ETC,LIMITED HEAD ROOM IN OUR ROOM no4.

Bed comfortable. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Bathroom smelled strongly of damp. Also there was only one light fitting so the shower was very dark when the curtain was drawn.

I had no particular dislikes--this is a good value hotel with good food and amenities.
