September 24, 2011Was in Geneva for a conference so the hotel location was ok, close to a bus line that took you to the conference center and to downtown. The free bus pass was great. The room was clean, but not over the ordinary.
The elevator was very old and small, which gave long waiting at peak hours. It worked well though, but not something for a claustrophobic person.

August 23, 2011The hotel staff was charming and most helpful with directions and information about the city. Because of the lack of air conditioned hotels in Geneva I will have to plan my next trip for the Fall, Winter or Spring. In that case I would certainly stay at Hotel Les Nations.
I do not remember reading that Hotel Les Nations had no air conditioning- IT doesn'T. In the August heat, my room was absolutely miserable. A small tower fan was supplied, however it was not working at full capacity.I Was told that almost every building and hotel in Geneva is without air conditioning. The breakfast was not very good but there are delicious breakfast places within a few steps of the hotel. Particularly good is a small Syrian pastry shop in the next block and there is a delicious bakery across the street.

August 15, 2011Quiet on backside, even with window open. Reception staff friendly although they want to make money out of everything such as not providing ironing facilities to the guests. Shirts well ironed (but at a cost!).
Unclear why this hotel has 4 stars: (1) no direct dial to room from outside, (2) phone was not working at first for incoming calls (“all lines engaged”, but this was not the case, and on hold forever) and spent CHF 15 on international phone calls to figure out that the problem was at the reception, (3) no iron available anywhere, had to wait until next morning and then they wanted to charge CHF 9 per shirt!, (4) no free internet (most 2* or 3* hotels have this) and this is supposed to be a business hotel, (5) breakfast: out of bread and out of yoghurt at 9.30 a.m. (breakfast is until 10) on two out of three mornings. Strange Thai soap (Ramburi Lotus & Rice Bran with Asian smell) and other oriental stuff in bathroom: thought the hotel was Swiss! Hot on the room, and heating on although already 27 degrees (outside it was less than 20, but no exchange of air for some reason). A blower just moved air (no cooling), so actually heated up the room. Safe occupies one complete shelf in the closet.

December 2, 2011It's close to many international institutions.
It's an absolute ripp-off. No service for 220 CHF: - Elevator does not go up to 7th Floor (Suites) - Suites looked like standard rooms - Pool outside of the hotel - Breakfast poor (they couldn't even do bacon & eggs or Cappuchino) This should be a 3 Star max.

November 21, 2011Reasonably priced compared to other Geneva hotels On a bus route to United Nations and into Geneva Comfortable bed Friendly staff
Room was very old fashioned. Decor could do with updating as the older style furniture but suit the room better if everything was not in shades of yellow and brown. Out of main town and nothing of note in the nearby vicinity. Needs a bus ride into town (or approx 20 minutes walk down quiet streets)

October 10, 2011It is calm and very well located for those who are coming fro their duty trip to the un Agencies situated in Geneva. Good connection by public transporation and good infrastructure.
I think that some interns who are practicing jthe hotel business in your hotel st business could be better instructed to do better job and to produce better service.

August 26, 2011Possibility to cancel reservation to this hotel. Very poor service. Cheap price the only advantage. I was proposed only 1st floor with a street view. No ac in the room. Bad smell and dirty bathroom.
Everything except for the taxi driver nearby who drives me to other hotel with ac and clear room.

July 6, 2011The hotel was very conveniently situated for the un buildings and offices. It was comfortable modern and clean.
I stayed at the hotel on a Sunday night and had to walk some distance (for 45 minutes) to find a restaurant that was open - there was just one Italian restaurant close by, the others were fast-food pizza take-aways. I dont know whether this was because it was a Sunday night, or the area was just not well served with good restaurants.

June 11, 2011The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is close to UN Agencies (walking distance) but not close to the old town (free puiblic transport helps). With upgrade to a suite I had a nice room with large balcony in the 7th floor. The hotel has a certian charm, is clean and offers a nice breakfast (included).
Apart form the kitchen table there was no working desk in the room. WLAN exists but is not free. As with most hotels in Geneva, the star rating is one star higher than the norm (only the rate is in line with stars).

I found the friendliness and courtesy of the staff to be of the highest standard. One of my best memories of my stay at your hotel was the night of a thunderstorm and I was huddling outside the Denner store when one of your staff (a young man) came from the hotel under an umbrella. He stopped to talk with me and when finding I was heading back to the hotel, he insisted in giving me the umbrella and he then went into Denner and then had to walk back in the rain with no protection. That is what I call "over and above the call of duty"! I can't really put my finger on what I liked about your hotel suffice to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
I do not have a bad word to say about the hotel, staff or facilities. The breakfast surpassed my expectations and, as above, the staff couldn't have been nicer.
