November 6, 2011Good value for a family. Switzerland is impossibly expensive and this was a good deal for a family room for 4 including breakfast in such a central location. Free public transport added a lot of value because you need it get around the very sloping multi level city. Free wifi was great. McDonalds within 20m was both good and bad but the kids loved it. I liked being able to open the windows and hear the church bells ring nearby. The rooftop terrace has a good view.
Its old and a bit shabby. But what value in meeting our needs in such an expensive place. We found the old town just next door which is really excelent to visit but it takes time to understand the multi-level nature of the city and find these little gems. The immediate area of the hotel is a bit run down and there are dark looking people nearby which make you feel uncomfortable at night. However overall if you have a large group and are looking for a reasonably value alternative this is it.

September 11, 2011The hotel is located right in the heart of Lausanne and well connected to the metro line. The breakfast is taking place on the top floor of the hotel, and when weather permits, an outside terrace is open to enjoy.
Simple but functional.

May 19, 2011central location.
I understand that Switzerland can be expensive, but I felt that even though the hotel was nice enough, I was paying more money than it was worth. I have stayed in higher standard hotels for the same price, if not less.

April 26, 2011The room worked well for our family of 5, bunk beds for the boys and a cot for our daughter, which is often a challenge. The breakfast was good. Free bus pass around lausanne was a very nice, useful touch.
Free Wifi in all rooms would be nice.

August 5, 2011The shops were all over the place and the streets were active but not noisy the metro is near by and the bus station too which the hotel provided free tickts for.
The place is very old and not clean, the showers need serious work. The breakfast dose not have many options dose not deserve a 3 star hotel rating

Location excellent: right in the middle of the city, close to Metro and everything. Staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast is excellent: different types of delicious swiss cheese, salami, good selection of jams and other spreads, bread, bun, fresh fruit and fruit juice (apple and orange), eggs, everything you need. View from roof terrace is really splendid.
Wifi is not free (in 2011!): it is a basic service in the cheapest hostels, whilst here one pays an enormous amount of money for a room, so why it is not included in the price? My room was very small and dark.
