January 10, 2012What did you like about the Hotel Balladins in Arras? would be better English. The room was adequate. Room temperature warm and shower great. The evening meal was very poor.

January 1, 2012Room was basic and not prepared well. No seat on toilet in the first room I was given then light not working, no waste bin and water very slow to go in basin in the next. Staff did try to sort out but should not have been in this position.

December 31, 2011Changed room three times before settled,toilet not flushing then running all the time.Restaurant/bar not open nor any local restaurant so had to get taxi to city centre to eat.Very noisy, children running around and slamming doors at 6am.

December 30, 2011Dissappointing. Toilet seat broken. Heater not working. Room cold and in need of decorating and cheering up. Very poor value for money. We went on to stay in Hotel de France in Perpignon in very high standard room for nearly same cost!!! Definately not to be recommended and if it wasn't for the fact we had already paid, we would have had to renegotiate a fair price.

Better choice of menus, but food was good. Shower needed upgrading!

The towels, the lack of soaps and shampose and not being able to hang your clothes. I hanger was broken.

December 8, 2011Cold bedroom, heater not working despite unsuccessful attempts of inexperienced staff very cramped bedroom with thin walls and ceilings which led to very noisy night.one of the wall lights kept going off and on be spite attempts of hotel F..the dining experience was dreadful never experienced anything like it . we were unable to make any inroads on our main dish.we then thought we would try somefrench cheese only to be told they had none. Overall my worst ever hotel we hastily cancelled the next night and could wait to leave..

October 29, 2011Very good value as got a good deal if you want luxury you have to pay for it! Bathroom had a very damp smell which wasn't very pleasant. When we checked in Sunday afternoon bedside light was on, we dumped bag and went straight returned after 9pm and realised the on off switch was broken and as no one at reception at night had to have the light on all night so terrible night. In the morning we told reception and it was fixed by the time we returned that evening. Didn't try breakfast and restaurant shut at weekends! A restaurant is opening on the corner though so if nice will be better than having to drive to town. Was a nice quiet stay. Would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Bedding nice and clean. Only CNN channel was in English and could only get French subtitles not English!!!!!! I would stay again but not in room 10 but only because of the damp smell.

Lack of a kettle in the room, and the staff refused our request to sell us coffee in the early evening. No English tv in the room. The hotel had a 'run down' feeling about it, and it was in a very poor location. There was no bar facility, and the whole place was locked down at 9pm. It also lacked dining facilities in the surrounding areas

September 20, 2011The price was reasonable. It was easy to find. Easy to book Young man on the reception was pleasant on our first night stay. Very pleasant young lady on duty on our return trip when we just turned up at the hotel. She made every effort to ensure that we were comfortable and given a room that was quieter. A big thankyou to her! (Sunday 18th September , 8pm) Room was well equipped. Beds are very comfortable. rooms were clean.
Room no.1 very noisy. Unable to get a decent night's sleep. Room 22 excellent position but unfortunately the bedspread was very stained. The staff on duty on Monday morning (19th Sept) were unfriendly and unhelpful. A smile and a friendly , "BONJOUR", costs nothing!! Pillows were lumpy.

September 7, 2011Rooms and beds fine. First room toilet wasn't working but reception moved us straight away to a different room.
Not much atmosphere. Everything closed (with shutters!) at 9pm, restaurant closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Would have been nice to have a few tables and chairs outside where you could have your drink. Would recommend the hotel if you want cheap accommodation and just be there at night.
