October 6, 2011The beds were new and very comfortable and the restaurant looked very good. Breakfast was ok but a bit expensive. Everyone very friendly and the hotel was in a good/quiet location en route to the ferry port.
The room was a bit small but I think they are all the same and the exterior door looked rather shoddy.

The rooms are now looking tired and in need of refurbishment.

September 29, 2011The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent especially for older people.
The rooms had see-through curtains so, for privacy, a blind was rolled down which did not enable any air to come into the room! This, then created stale air in the room during the night. A cooked breakfast should have been offered as I thought the buffet Continental breakfast was not worth the extra money that had to be paid.

September 20, 2011the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the price was right as we just wanted a place to stop off on the way to the ferry. The staff were friendly and helpful.

September 18, 2011Clean comfortable room. Friendly service. Fine for an overnight stay en route to our gite.
The entrance to the hotel car park is not signposted. There is a large sign outside the hotel itself but it is not clear whether this is where the hotel is or whether it's somewhere further along the road. We drove around the area for quite a while before we found the entrance. The wifi was very slow and was not easy to access.

September 17, 2011Not the easiest to find without a lookout, but very clean and pleasant room and very effecient staff and helpful. Ideal for visiting the UK in almost every way, location to port, super market for last minute shopping and very reasonable price for what you are getting and would have no hesitation in using again.p.s. Makes a change having a reasonable size bathroom for France.
Not the easiest to find could have early warning signs.

September 9, 2011Good location, easy to find afer a long day travelling. Staff spoke good English. Room was clean and contained everything we needed.
My husband ordered a steak in the restaurant. It wasn't cooked properly and was a poor quality piece of meat. His complaint was left unanswered.

September 8, 2011Following a cancellation due to an accident the hotel was rebooked by Booking.com and I received an email to confirm this. Upon arrival, after an eight hour drive, the manager claimed he had no knowledge of the new booking and blamed Booking.com. This was disconcerting as my wife had been in hospital, but fortunately he said there was a room available.

September 8, 2011We found the staff friendly and courteous and would return again.
Not the hotels fault but the speed bumps in the road outside do create a bit off traffic noise with cars slowing down then increasing power to pass over them

September 6, 2011The position for an overnight stay close to the port is excellent. Our room was comfortable and clean. The fact that the hotel has a restaurant also filled our needs and the menu gave good choice and the food was very good.

September 6, 2011Ease of booking and checking in and out Good location
It was so noisy. People coming in and out all night talking in loud voices Car doors slamming and hooters blaring at 5am and 6am Then to top it all after the hooters the local chickens woke up and the cock crowed for nearly 15mins. I do appreciate that noise is just down to the guests on the day, but it would help if the metal stairs and the walkways could maybe have some sound barrier on them. The room doors could do with a coat of paint.

August 31, 2011Stayed here for 1 night at start of a cycling trip through France. Quite close to ferry terminal but quiet location out of the town, high up on hill so nice views. Rooms functional but had everything we needed, staff really friendly, let us leave bikes in secure location inside hotel. Simple menu but tasty well cooked food, good breakfast, wide choice and fresh. Staff gave us maps and directions, and even booked our next hotel for us.

August 15, 2011The staff at reception and at the restrauant were very good. They were efficent but caring and personable. The room was comfortable and clean. but too many stairs to walk up for my knees.
The restrauant was too quick. Not enough time was given to see to the detail of our needs For example - how we would like the steak cooked, whether we wanted water at the table, possibly a little more food on the plate. The room was comfortable and clean. but too many stairs to walk up for my knees.

August 12, 2011Stayed as a stop-over for an early morning ferry crossing from Cherbourg (about 10-15mins away with no traffic). We took two interconnecting rooms. Basic, but clean and comfortable, with low noise due to thick walls/ceilings. Dinner reasonably priced and average quality. We didn’t have breakfast. Definate plus is that rooms have roller-shutters on the windows which act as black-out blinds.
The bathrooms had a wet-room style shower which caused our toddler slip up and bang her head.
