  Clean modern room

  We were not advised that the hotel was a building site with work going on. As a result we had to gain access to our room via an unlit external spiral staircase with wooden bannisters that my 86 year old mother gashed her hand on and had to have treated with a plaster to stop the bleeding. The staff were not at all friendly and somewhat off hand

  Freshly painted clean rooms, great shower and perfectly ok breakfast. Beds are clean and comfortable and the shower was great. For a cheap stay this is really good. Quite a way from the town centre - definately not walking distance - but a nice area.

  We were travelling with our 6-month-old son, and although we had asked for a cot by email prior to our arrival, none was provided/available and the staff were quite unhelpful in finding a solution. I asked if there was a small mattress we could pop on the floor or a room with a third bed and just received an unhelpful shrug. Our only solution was to get an extra room (I shared a double with my son and my husband had to stay in another room) but no discount was offered so we only stayed one night rather than two. In the morning we noticed a stack of small new mattresses in a room off from the reception undergoing redecoration which would have been perfect! Very annoying!

  The staff were excellent; friendly, polite and dealt with 'phrasebook-French- really well! Rooms were basic but very clean with an excellent shower! The food we had was superb - we ate both dinner and breakfast and everyone was very happy with it (this includes Grandad and 2 young people aged 11 and 17) There is a supermarket practically next door which is very handy (though do remember Sunday opening times in France!) Excellent value for money.

  We had a pull-out bed for our 11 year old daughter which left very little room but as we were on a stop-over as part of our long journey it really was not a problem ( I wouldn't have wanted to do much more than one night with 3 in a room).

  the staff were all extremely friendly

  The extra bed that was provided was defecive in that 3 slats were missig which made it uncomfortable - not discovered until during the night when it was too late to do anything about it. The front shutter to the bedroom was missing which reduced security and privacy.

  Good location for us as we were travelling home and did not want to be in the city centre, nice staff, nice restaurant, good value all round. I will stay there next year if at all possible. I did book a triple room which was apparently not available when we arrived however the Manager offered me two rooms at the triple room price so it worked out fine.

  campanile hotels are always a welcome site on first night of trips in France. This one was OK - needed some TLC.

  Our evening meal was excellent, although unfortunately the first time was so poor it had to be sent back and replaced.

  The room was really dirty (we were too tired to ask for a replacement) and the evening meal had to be sent back - but it was replaced with an extremely good version. Many of the room buildings seemed to be very tired and occasionally in need of urgent renovation.

  Free private parking available (the gate is closed during the night). City center easy to reach. Interesting annexed restaurant.

  Very slow Wi-fi connection. We asked a room for 3 persons; we got a small double room with an extra bed, and it was almost impossible to move about. No cupboard, the only hanger was inside the bathroom.

  The bed has good size, free parking

  There were cockroaches in the room, we found one even in the bed; staff is trained badly - we stayed 2 nights and after the first night we placed on the door the sign "Don't disturb", but during a day a cleaning lady entered and moved all our stuff, organized the bed and mixed our clothes and so on. We complained about it, but the things were not possible to turm back. We asked a new linen and changed it by our own.

  Cet hotél était en travaux durant mon séjour, le chauffage manquait dans la salle restaurant (pour repas du soir et petit déjeuné) L'hotel avec des travaux ce n'est pas le grand luxe... étre avec les tapis de protections et en pleins milieux des pots de peintures, escabots... L'hôtel aurait dû limiter ses accés...
