December 16, 2011I have family who have just moved to Sergy and didn't have enough room to put us all up, so location wise for me it was perfect. It's a ten minute walk to the y bus stop Malivert by Carrefour which goes to Sergy and the airport. It was fairly cheap in comparison to what else was available. So for my needs it was perfect and pretty much what I expected, so I was pleased.
It is a bit shabby and dated. If you're after something basic on a budget then it's ideal. But otherwise it might not be for you.

It's small, and smell of smoke.

December 1, 2011Bath clean; free and fast wifi connection; good breakfast (not included in chamber price); nice and very kind staff; strategic position for anyone who work at cern, (a car is sugggested, even if not compulsory); comfortable bed (double room for a single person).
If you have not a car, you can access just walking along a path crossing the country; quite dirty moquette.

The rooms are nice, but the corridors look shabby

November 28, 2011Vicinity to cern. Mostly suited for business trips; I wouldn't recommend it for any other purpose. The beds and bathrooms are nice and clean.
The beds are small, so uncomfortable for people above 185cm tall. The walls are thin, so there is lots of noise from other rooms. Furthermore the hotel desperately needs refurbishing; a new layer of paint and new carpets are really needed, as they look smudgy.

August 31, 2011If you're going to visit cern this hotel is brilliantly located; otherwise the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The small towns closeby are not really anything. For Americans this hotel would be a Motel 6 with an expensive restaurant. Having said that the meal was excellent, but quite pricey. The staff were helpful, friendly and courteous.

August 27, 2011The staff is very cordial and helpful. The room small, but clean and the mattress was extremely comfortable, fresh air from the fields and a view of the Jura mountains. The hotel is an easy walk from the Y-Bus which effectively connects one with the Geneva train station --- the Y-Bus only runs once an hour, so you need to think it out in advance, but this was great for us. Close enough also to walk to cern --- if it's not raining!
Bathroom drains not the best, both in sink and shower.

August 14, 2011It is an ideal hotel for people on the move due to it's location
Although the price of the hotel is cheap, the cleanness could be much better. Furthermore, the hotel felt a little bit unsafe because there is no staff present after 8pm and it is situated between the industry. The hotel felt a little bit like a dirty motel which you recognise from movies.

August 2, 2011Good location near main roads, but still absolutely silent during night. Cheap prices for the local price level, at least during weekends. There was some dirt in the room walls but floor and bed were in excellent condition. There's a venting machine downstairs also. Staff spoke English and was very friendly.

July 12, 2011Friendly staff, close to cern, which we were visiting.
The room was a bit tatty. The hotel was generally very noisy, partly by design (long echoing hallways, thin walls and a gap under the room door), partly due to other guest (playing the tv loud very late into the night etc). I wouldn't recommend this for families, but I guess for backpackers it's alright.
