September 15, 2011The Hotel was very comfortable and very central the receptionist/owner was very helpfull recomending a restauurant in the town centre we would never have found that provided excellent service in a beautiful courtyard at the rear and food that was also excellent and very reasonably priced.
We found it strange to find, on artrival, at 1:30 pm, a sign on the door advising us that the reception did not open until 5:30 it rather messed up our afternoon perhaps if the information was available at time of booking we could have set ourselves to arrive at taht time and done other things on the way to Millau

July 11, 2011Typical French style provincial hotel. Very friendly receptionist. A meticulous and comprehensive package of local information was provided in the room. On street pay and display parking immediately outside the hotel. The hotel was once the residence of the famous opera singer Emma Calve and retains many of its original features.
Didn't think the breakfast was value for money.

Surly staff. Clearly not bike-friendly. A smile would have been nice.

May 31, 2011The only thing that was good about it was it was central to the town of Millau.
I thought considering the price in comparison with others in the area it was quite high, considering breakfast was extra. I was told I was going to be in a deluxe room, but if my room was deluxe I would not like to be in one of the normal rooms. I considered the hotel as being very basic. It appeared to be a one man band.

April 27, 2011The room was clean and comfortable and situated close to the main town centre for access to shops, bars and restaurants. It was an ideal base for exploring the surrounding centres of interest, eg Roquefort caves.

April 25, 2011Simple hotel, and we had the cheapest rooms - peeked into the rooms with stained glass - bigger and attractive. Good welcome from the English speaking owner, who was also helpful about where to eat and the market etc. The rooms were smallish and the bathrooms plain but the bed linen was clean and crisp and the beds were comfortable - so value for money.

The public rooms were quite charming, and the one member of staff we saw was polite and reasonably welcoming.
Based on the room we were allocated, I would say that this hotel is ok for a single night (which is all we wanted), but not really for a longer stay. There was nowhere to hang clothes, except three hangers on hooks (ie no wardrobe); and we were surprised when it was made clear that we should be down for breakfast by 8:30. There is a certain charm in French businesses run on a shoestring, but not at the customers' expense. Incidentally, the advertised "city view" amounted to a window overlooking a rather ordinary road!
